I really miss sidewinder, works so great with 8+ people. Every weapon and vehicle had a use on the map.

Did they not bring it back for Halo 2 in some kind of DLC? Could you make it in Halo 3?

I loved that map. Every part about it was so well designed.

No achievements on the Original XBox games unfortunately... hopefully they'll reconsider because that'd be my only motivation to replay them.

In this podcast, the IGN guys ask a MS guy, "so you are crushing the dreams of the millions people who were begging for Halo 1 online?"

He says, "Oh my God, the world would end. Can you imagine?" Even he sounded excited for the possibility of Halo 1 online. So they know what they could potentially have. They could re-sell Halo 1 so many times, it would be ridiculous.

Gee whiz, where could Microsoft ever find the programmers to put live functionality in?

Halo 1 on my Mac is sooo amazing. Is Sidewinder that snowy/icy place? If so CTF games are great there.

Yes and yes. Feels like a level Valve would have designed for TF2. Really well thought out (and beautiful) map.

As much as i would LOVE halo 1 Live play. ( halo gamespy/xboxconnect matches are still some of my best multiplayer experiences)

I doubt they want a game competing with Halo 3 sales at this point. And, in my opinion, it's biggest rival is itself. Maybe a year from now?
