I say it is worth it, I'm loving my iPad 2 and have no complaints about it, I welcomed the upgrade from iPad 1.

If they put out a new iPad in March/April they will not have the new A6 chip inside 
Countless news stories have pointed out that the A6 chip will not be ready for mass production until summer 2012, so iPad with A6 chip would be like end of the year product. Personally I think it would be dump for apple to put out an iPad2S or iPad2 HD with a A5 still in them, now that the iPhone has the same chip.
