Thought about it, decided against it. It's shipping to my office and usually the delivery guy shows up around lunch time for me to sign. I'll play with it for an hour, run some tests, and then let it restore from backup for the rest of the day which will take a while. Then on Saturday I'm shooting the Mizzou game again. I'm thinking I might try out the 240fps slow-motion from the sidelines. I think the SEC has rules against us shooting video but I'm not going to broadcast it or anything. Just for fun!

I took the day off last year to wait in line for the 5s.

This year, I'm planning on working from home and picking up the package from a UPS center early on in the day.

I mean holding a new iPhone in your hand is probably pretty cool but imagine if it was a really delicious sandwich. Now that's something I could get behind and take off some work for. That thing lasts in your memory for a long while. In no time, that iPhone will be replaced and it won't mean anything anymore.

I can't work from home. Peoples lives depend on me BUT I'm sure someone in my family will be home when they get delivered. Hopefully. Maybe.

You can't possibly get to work unless you have a new phone giving you GPS directions. It's just not possible.

my work shift is 1am-930am so I took off Thursday...

hit up my fave sports bar for Thursday night football then head over to the Apple store...

still deciding on the main Flagship on 5th Ave or the one in Soho...

I thoughtfully took the day off as I scheduled a contractor to do some work at my house and it just "happened" to coincide with launch date.

My job consists of selling the new iPhone.. So I can't take off. :(

I'll be charging mine while I set other customers phones up though.

I've been waiting for this phone for 3 years now. You bet I'm taking off Friday to sit and stare out my front window waiting for the delivery guy. I've got some extra leave I need to burn anyway. :D

Missouri in the SEC. Just ain't right.

It's going to be hard to focus on Friday...

It's hard to focus now.

I AM the boss and I have my phones delivered to the office. It will arrive, I will restore from a backup and life goes on. Things to do, customers to see.

I a week or two, it will just be my phone. That is all.
