No, use the old style (pre 1.6).

Did someone test my launcher and files? did it work for you?

ok, so the old launcher works the Gaming provided, you just need to press play offline after putting in your minecraft login info. However, in order to play on the server, you will need to use keaton's 1.5.1.jar file and rename it to minecraft.jar, then replace the minecraft.jar in the users/(name)/library/application support/minecraft/bin. Lastly, Keaton, you need to put the server in offline mode because the old launcher has a bug that prevents it from logging in users, thus it cannot verify usernames and it will give you an end of stream error while logging into the server. If we are going to use offline mode, we will need to use whitelisting and a plugin called login security, so that we cannot use each others accounts because it makes you put in a password each time you login to the server. Is anyone available to go onto the server now to see if it is working for them? If you have a modern computer with the new mc launcher, you can select minecraft 1.5.1 from the game mode selector and it should work fine.
Perhaps we can create a one and done script so players won't have to deal with copying files around to make it work. Does Keaton have the necessary files thus far to begin hosting?
his server is already up, it's just a matter of improving it.![]()
Hmm... I'll probably come on today(first I will check it out on my newer Mac though)
Here you go guys, I toke the login files out.

Anyone know how to fix the sound glitch? I remember this from the last time I played Minecraft on my once-main iMac G5.
minecraft on powerpc, someone mind giving me a step by step list of instructions with the appropriate files or links?
This isn't necessarily the topic of the thread... but wow, I had no idea the PowerPC forums had so much young blood in it. I am 17, and thought I was working with a bunch of middle aged men as-well.
