Is this the same Ming-Chi Kuo that said the X would be severely limited until 2018?

Do any of this guy's words actually come true lol we always have some "experts" who claim that the iPhone will have ..., or will be ... and etc but in the end 50% of the things they've said don't happen at all.

I thought this guys track record had been pretty good?

A plus version of the X would have a monster sized screen on it. That'd be cool to see.

Just take a look at the Galaxy S8+. It is roughly the same screen size as the expected plus sized iPhone with AMOLED display. It really isn't that bad as most of the extra screen size comes from making the display 18:9 aspect ratio and utilizing the space formerly taken up by the top and bottom bezels.

Compared to an iPhone 8 Plus it is 1/2 mm wider and 6mm shorter.

My guess: A confirmation for purchase at about $1299 to cover Apple's innovation of "more complex metal frames" plus new aniemoji.;)

And hopefully they will kick the camera and/or battery out to an add-on accessory item so they can make it "thinner & lighter"... like everyone wants so badly.

In fact, starting next year you will be able to reserve a phone tethered to a location scattered throughout the city, so you don't need to carry it around at all! How's that for thin and light!

While the iPhone X launched just three days ago, we're already starting to hear rumors about what to expect from next year's models.

Specifically, oft-reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said he believes iPhones released in 2018 will feature a "more complex" metal frame design and casing assembly for the purpose of improving data transmission quality.

An excerpt of Kuo's research note with KGI Securities, obtained by MacRumors:Kuo said Taiwanese suppliers Catcher Technology and Casetek have won orders from Apple for the new metal frames, including two models with stainless steel frames, which likely includes the iPhone X and so-called iPhone X Plus.

Kuo has previously said that Apple will likely expand Face ID to all iPhone models in 2018, with a complete abandonment of Touch ID. He also said 2018 iPhones are unlikely to gain a rear-facing TrueDepth camera system.

Makes sense. I’ve noticed my X gets slightly weaker signal in various places than the 7 did.

Here's a little gem from Ming, 18 months ago..

"KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had suggested previously that Apple is beavering away internally on producing two separate versions of the iPhone 7 Plus. And Kuo indeed noted the differing camera technologies as being central to this ethos."

The guy is simply making calculated guesses. Some are right, some are wrong, but none are really factual, just guesses.

I read somewhere the latest Intel chip will support Gigabit data transmission speeds and CDMA. If Apple does drop Qualcomm for all Intel modems, and with Verizon and AT&T rolling out 5G everywhere, the next iPhone is going to be a data speed beast with the new Intel modem AND the new metal frames to better support it.

Will it though? Kuo also said there would be massive shortages of the X, and that doesn't appear to be the case.

I’m in for an X Plus. Current X is too small

I agree the X feels a little small.
The notch is a non-issue and FaceID is seamless.

But as for Ming? Is this the same Ming that said if you didn't order in 2 minutes you wouldn't get an X until 2018?

I decided to skip the X, it's too small for my hands. Also, what surprised me is the notch before never bothered me, seeing in person my first thought was wow that is fugly and annoying break in the screen (though I am sure you get used to it)

And in real world use, it wont be anywhere near that fast. I never see even near potential speeds of LTE but I do mostly use in high population areas so congestion and interference is a problem.

me to x: "Well x, we've known each other for few days now......."
x to me: "NO!!! Don't leave me!!"
Me: "It's not you ... it's me.."

X: "Oh ... I --"

Me: "Nah, I'm just ****ing with you. It's totally you. Your successor is going to be an even better phone than you can ever be."

Ming-Chi Kuo to X: "Tough luck buttercup."

X: *uses FaceID to trap Kuo in the fifth dimension* *It fails*

Let's predict Kuo's prediction in following months:
1. 2018 iPhone X will likely have the same design but enhanced hardware
2. 2018 iPhone X will improve the Face ID accuracy and wider sight angle
3. 2018 iPhone X will have new color choose
4. iPad with Face ID won't have the notch
5. 2018 iPhone X will have improved battery life
6. 2018 iPhone X sale will not as good as 2017
...
...
Can you just stop being boring?
I totally predicted somebody would predict what Kuo's prediction will be.
