Well, what i meant is, certain things ios apps can't do without jailbreaking is for ex closing all apps at once. Like killing apps within a task manager app. Obviously android apps can do much more in this sense. But as i said i hate ugly crappy looking android apps and i think ios apps, although a bit more limited than android apps, still have great functions and they look gorgeous.

You just haven't searched the google play store good enough. The problem with apple's app store is that there are a million apps that do the same thing and there's nothing special differentiating them. At least on android apps, there are a lot of apps that do similar things but at least they all have something a little different. Unless it's jewelry, who cares about what something looks like as long as it's functional.

I care about design a lot, especially since good design pleases everyone's eyes. I've been an android user since it came out until 2014 so 5 years. I've searched plenty of times on play store. Many apps I searched and found look crappy, usually using old design language from froyo or gingerbread and stuff. Even holo design is way too ugly and plain. Lollipop design language is nice though, but we aren't sure how many apps will take advantage of that, cause even when holo came out, people had been using those icons, spinning wheels, etc from way older versions of android, and they are ugly as hell.

Forbes calls it...

Forbes says it best:

"Another iOS Release That Fails To Address The Major iOS 8 Bugs"

"With the release of iOS 8.1.3, Apple confidently announced it had addressed ‘bug fixes and increased stability’ over previous versions. Unfortunately the well-known bugs are that generating a lot of discussions online have not been addressed – notably the GMT calendar bug, intermittent wi-fi connection, and photo ordering.

Three of the bugs you mentioned I would not classify as major by any stretch of the imagination. The biggest issues orientation and copy/paste have been mitigated.

The wifi bug seems only only exist in the guest network of my home router. Go figure. The gmt bug doesn't affect me.

So I give Apple high fives for this release.

When you say orientation, are you talking about the 6+ being upside down more times than being right side up?

Updated my iphone 5s this weekend to ios 8.1.3, from 7.1.2, and must say I am most disappointed. Definitely not on par with 7.1.2.

With record Q1 earnings one must question why this may be? The Q1 stats clearly show the demand and interest in the iphone, a premium handset, but why no premium software to support the device?

I guess all one can do is hope in anticipation that future releases only improve on what is currently not an up to scratch ios release......

Two things: both companies appear to copy each other. The most notable being when Android's design changed from being blackberry-like to iPhone-like in 2007.

Apple has never copied anything so huge, so blatantly from Android.

Secondly, Android is open-source. Meaning anyone is free to take what they like. When companies use the OS no one moans. When Amazon forked Android for the kindle, no one moaned. When Apple introduces a feature that Android already has? People hate on Apple.

I am sitting here with a new 27" retina iMac I just bought. To my side of my table I have a 13" MBP Late 2011 and on the other side, albeit, dying, a late 2009 MBP.
Not to mention all the countless Apple gear I have, Apple TV, etc YET I don't like the iPhone.
I gave my old one to my husband.
.

I have the new One Plus One CyanogenMod Version..I could even make it better than the base phone but don't have time and I have to agree with the other fellow, ocollegeboi.........I am hardly a hater with all the gear of Apple I have yet I much prefer android phone as I can do so much more with them short of jailbreaking iPhone.
Its one thing to state you might not care for android but to suggest that those of us that do prefer android, are haters of apple, might be a bit absurd considering what many of us use in every other area.

On my One Plus One, I don't even have to install apps to do 99% of what i would have to do installing apps from the apple store, that is, after jailbreaking it.
I am certainly not going to say one is better than the other for to so is pointless but I have to disagree with your attempt to suggest your iPhone is far better than android and those that disagree with you must be apple haters.

If we are just getting an update notification on our iPad today, when would the update have taken place on the iPhone?

Not everyone who likes Android hate Apple. Not everyone who likes Apple hates Android. I certainly don't.

But people do hate on Apple for not having a feature, then hate on Apple for introducing the feature because it was "obviously copied".

I was reply to someone who'd said: "So apple ios now has a battery usage page in the settings? They copied that from android. Android had a battery usage settings page first. The only apple does is copy jailbreak tweaks and android features" and I stand by my response.

I didn't bring up copying, or iOS vs Android, he did.
