Minumum contract time

Hi,
I'm playing with the idea to get myself an iPhone but what really sucks here in Germany is that the T-Mobile has a minumum contract time of 2 years ! I found that a lot. I'm not sure to live still in Germany in 2 years.

So I was just wondering, what are the min contract times in your countries ?

I'm not sure about over there, but I think all of the carriers in the US will let you out of your contract early with no fees if you move out of the country (and can provide proof). Does T-Mobile have the same clause in their contract?

Yes that's what I also hope/think. I will ask them.
