any chance you could upload the version of mario you found? i'm having the same trouble you were having. the version of mario i have won't show up in Mirage OS. I have a TI-84 Plus SE

I got it working! Here's what you have to do:

1. Download ION from here.
2. Follow the instructions for installation (included in the ion.txt file when you download ION).
3. Send Mario.8xp and a few of the levels to your calculator, but don't archive them.
4. Run program A.
5. Run program Mario.

Let me know if that works for you. It worked fine for me, but there may be some compatibility issues with TI-84s.

I have a ti84+SE and have tried to run the same games, but the images were messed up. When mario jumps, his head appears at the bottom of the screen, everything is tilted to the left, and it flickers. I found a better mario game at: http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/174/17451.html
This is a better game and it runs quite nicely off mirage os.
By the way, does anyone know a good mariokart game for a ti84+SE?

UPDATE:
my friend at school had a special TI-84 SE version of mario that he gave to me via link cable. i know that taking out/changing batteries can cause issues with cleaaring memory. is there any way that i can copy files from my calculator to my computer? also, is there any program that lets you save text files for TI-84? thanks again:)

When you remove batteries, it only deletes RAM, so go to 2nd + (MEM), then scroll down to 8:Group..., create a new group, and hit 1:All+, then move over and hit done. This creates a backup group of all your ram files. When you have switched your batteries, ungroup your backup group, and you will have all your memory back. You can also go to your computer, run TIConnect (http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/nonProductMulti/download_stepbystep.html?bid=2), and select backup. This takes longer, and I suggest grouping your ram often because i have found that some games will skrew up your calculator pretty badly.

hi does anybody know how many games the ti-84 se should hold? the package said nine times more memory but i only put mirage, mario and some levels but its already saying that i have less than 1000 bytes of ram left
should i delete some of the apps. that came with it that i dont use?

You have very little RAM, but with platforms like MirageOS, you can run games archived, which you have a lot of storage room. Deleting apps wont help because they are archived, and your games are RAM. Download MirageOS, then go to the MEM menu, hit 2, then 1, and then find your games, and while the cursor is next to them, hit enter. This archives the games. If your games will not run on MirageOS, I sugest you get some that do.
