I'd hate to think if someone didn't know about the new ones coming out, and got the old ones instead. But actually, they might keep the desktop servers around, because not everyone is going to want the rack systems. Curious, though, what if the Rack Systems are significantly improved over the desktops, would they upgrade those as well? Which would mean you could effectively get a Mac Desktop that could be better than anything out there.
