Not to mention, Apple inherits a lot of bugs from open source projects because of the OS X development cycle requiring a freeze on the projects they import. A clear example is Lion shipping with Python 2.7.1 when 2.7.2 has been out

Bugs can be fixed and will be fixed and as been said already the concep won't. That's the core issue.

Thankfully Mission Control is only one of the 250+ new features of Lion. Don't use it if you don't like it. See the other I hate Lion/Mission Control/No Spaces threads and add to those.
Thats not really a valid recommendation. Because if you don't use Mission Control then you basically can't use Expose or Spaces, both of which (to me and others) is an integrated and necessary part of OS X. Simply "not using it" doesn't apply, I don't like Widgets so I don't use those, I don't like Launchpad so I don't use that. But not using Expose? That's crazy talk.
You know I wasn't so sold on Mission Control nor the natural scrolling at first, but after a couple of days, getting used to the swipes for Mission Control and putting single window apps into Desktops is pretty awesome.
The problem here is that Spaces used to be fine and now its kind of messed up, or at least not as simple to use as it was in 10.6. Not sure if you used Spaces in 10.6.

When the animation finishes and the space is changed to the one on left with iTunes window suddenly iTunes gets focus and it looks and feels like blink (no focus then focus). Very annoying.

Thanks for attempting to explain, but I still don't see what's happening. When I do that with my apps, neither of the desktops lose focus so i guess i'm doing something wrong. Oh well, if ii haven't noticed then it's not a big deal to me i guess.

BTW, are you watching "The Walking Dead"? Awesome show.

It's a majority vs minority thing. There will always be some who are not happy with how Apple handled Mission control/Spaces. It does the job well enough for me. I was being a little sarcastic when I replied. The concept of Mission control is the future. Apple will probably make refinements in a future release, and my opinion does not include bugs. Those will be fixed.
Will third party apps show up to fill the void? Yes. There is always room for improvement.

I for one hate the new "Mission Control". Obviously, with time you'll get more used it, but it seems as though it's harder to organize apps. I could get to basically any space on a 3x3 grid in the time that it takes to go one space to the left or right. Not only that, but if I'm on space one, I have to go through every single space (it doesn't even wrap around!) just to get to the last one. There are certainly better ways to sort this, I just hope some good third party apps come out to fill the void. This is not a BUG that apple will fix most likely, this is a core FEATURE that will remain. Sure I could go back to SL, but I like using the advantages in security and speed that new releases have. That's not really a solution, just a work around.
