Missmatch band joints color with Apple Watch color?

Hi,

I own a Space Grey aluminium S5 Apple Watch.
I love the Watch color but I feel very limited in my bands option due to the fact that most bands come with a grey/silver joint to the Watch and only darker bands come with a black joint.

I’d like to mark a special occasion with a Hermès Orange leather loop but I’m not sure it would look good due to the band joints being stainless steel silver and my Watch being space grey aluminium.
I don’t mind if it doesn’t look as good as with a silver watch since I’ll probably change for a Silver Watch when I’ll upgrade but I just don’t want it to look ridiculous.

So I was wondering if anyone here had some experience with using a space grey/graphite Apple Watch with a silver joint band?

There is also a dedicated Hermès band thread and I am sure there are folks who have pictures of Hermès bands with silver hardware on the Space Black Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Titanium Watches, as well.

I have a Black (Graphite?) SE, and think the SS lugs look fine. But, this is subject to personal preference, obviously. Posted a pic in the thread mentioned in earlier reply.

Here’s a little clip, showing the SS on the black body. Again, personal preference, but I don’t mind the lugs.

If anything, the lugs help the buckle “work” and fit better.

Glad it helped. Which band are you considering? I can’t justify Hermès myself, but a special occasion is a great reason! I do like some of the “Single Tour” models, though. I could be tempted, if the deal was right.

Thanks for the pictures, I actually like how the silver SS makes the band colors pop!
I’m considering the orange attelage single tour, I quite like how it can brings color to an otherwise monochrome outfit while still being classy

I think the dark cases (graphite, space black, etc) kind of meld/blend with the screen. So, the SS lugs don’t seem too out of place. I am obviously a fan of the look.
