Long time yankee fan here. The Stanton signing was an ok deal. I wouldn’t have minded skipping the contract but........

On the plus side the Yankees should be able to score runs. Lol. That’s quiet the batting order. Judge, Stanton, Sanchez, Didi,Byrd. Lots of power. Would love more left handed power. I saw some where that the signing will make the Yankees 55-75 million per year just due Stanton. It made financial sense and if he plays like he is capable. No one will complain.

If he struggles. Watch out. It’s New York where fans are tough.

This is a great deal really. It's 3 years with an opt out, if he decides to stay the Marlins kick in 30 million. The Yankees had to make the deal, it really was too good to pass up. That and it really puts the Red sox on their heels to make a bone headed deal now.

Agreed. Brian Cashman is a great GM. He always seems to get a good deal. Of course it helps when you can eat a 100 million mistake. :D:D:D

Nothing better than making sure the Red Sox didn’t get him:D

He wasn't going to Boston anyway, that was not one of his preferred teams.

Wrong. Mets have a new manager & training staff plus our superb pitching. all we need now is acouple of bats. so its really gonna be good times ahead for Queens #IBleedOrange&Blue

The Marlins fire sale continues, was this Jeter's plan all along when he took over. He must have known how badly in debt the team was. Why would you want to own a team in such disarray.

Because its probably the only way he could own one. I could be wrong, but if memory serves me, he struggled to line up backers/business partners to buy the Marlins in the first place.

Given the history of the team, his continuation of talent dump is not endearing him to the fans they Marlins have.

1B Carlos Santana agrees to a 3yr/60m deal with the Phillies.
[doublepost=1513364366][/doublepost]Angels and INF Zack Cozart agree to a 3-year $38 million deal.

NY Mets hire a 'Director of High performance' to help stave off injuries. they are taking the proper steps this year, i see. nice!

Since the last update, the Mets have signed deals with Jay Bruce and reportedly Adrian Gonzalez. They also avoided arbitration with deGrom, Syndergaard, Harvey, d'Arnaud, Flores, Familia, Robles, Ramos.
