I felt very good about the Yankees opener. It had a hit of everything. Good pitching after a rough 1st inning, clutch hitting, good defense. They would've lost that game last year.

This AppleTV broadcast is bad. Really bad.
i always watch the sny mets for GCohen, KHernadez
these people were school kids blabbing about who knows what
their false presence about them selves is very juvenile and distracting.

thankfully the Braves still can present a game!

Saved by the ghost runner.
Yeah I hate that rule. But I feel a lot better about the fact that the walkoff single was the first play of the inning, and not with 2 outs or something. Red Sox were also almost bailed out, but the Yankees had to come back from behind twice.

Mets fans are spoiled with outstanding commentators. They deserve it with all the other crap they put up with.

And I'm allowed to joke about how bad they are because I'm a Knicks and Giants fan.

every 15 years the mets somehow make the World series
since 1973.

I would go to Shea wearing all Expos stuff since the 1970's.

Judge turns down 7 years 230. Probably going to test the market in the fall.

I thought it was pretty good. Video quality was excellent, the graphics and stats were very good and a refreshing Apple-like minimalist take on something that is usually overly gaudy and intrusive. The announcers were pretty good for a first-time-ever broadcast, but overall meh because they said some dumb stuff and it was boring/irrelevant more than I would have liked. National broadcast announcers are always terrible compared to your local team announcers, but compared to other national broadcasts I thought they were good enough. Way better than ESPN and TBS, but about on par with Fox Sports and the like.

They say tv show hosts need about 100 episodes of experience to get into a groove. I bet sports announcers are similar. I bet they'll improve over the course of this season. For a first-time attempt, I expected worse actually.

And at least they didn't have A-Rod's whiney stupid voice telling us that the Dodgers are the Yankees of Baseball or something even dumber.

Yeah, I had do a double take on this... I wonder if the Yankees will come back higher, or has he told them he is going after the market to see if he can get what he feels he should be getting.
He wants 37 for 9.

I'm very happy that the Giants have started the season at 7-2. But seeing Seiya Suzuki's production so far, makes me wish he was doing that for the Giants.

Dude is going to be special.
There was another "dude" named Suzuki who was special. In fact, he was so special, that many people forgot his name was Suzuki. We will know if this guy is as good as that guy was when he's just called Seiya.
