MMS is part of unlimited texting plans for att

idk why but i remember people wondering if picture messages were included with unlimited texting and i looked into it on att and the 20 dollar texting plan includes picture, video and text. it says so online and in stores.

maybe if u get the 1200 texts then it might be a diff story.

We have a family plan with unlimited texting so I feel a lot better. Yay for 3.0!!!! :)
 
yea idk why people think it doesn't include pics or video, since EVERY carrier that offers texting counts a text as picture and video. i had verizon and tmobile both were using this system.

Well with AT&T you get told a different story every time you go into a store and our account is so screwed up anyway it's hard to remember exactly what everything includes. :D
 
just look at att.com and see the unlimited texting description. says video and pics :D
 
You see now, with MMS activated, AT&T will bill MMS as a different thing. They are no charity to the user, and in this case they most certainly milk the cow.

So I say, its good AT&T hasn't changed anything, yet. But, I wouldn't count on it staying much longer like that. However, we can all hope and pray the Death Star doesn't fire the main gun at our unlimited text plans with intentions of splitting MMS.
 
I would but the account is in my dad's name and he keeps all of our personal info SUPER secret so I have no access into the account.

you realize every other phone with att pretty much can do mms....its not like att is suddenly figuring out mms

Yes, I do know that, I also know AT&T charges (well charged) differently for every type of SMS or MMS. However, they recently bundled all that together into their MediaNet plan for $20.

So I'm guessing we will se a rise in our text plans...

BTW, I agree, let's hope Han and Luke come and help...:D
 
mms is picture messages. its just a way of saying it. ATT offers pics, video and texting for 20 dollars unlimited on its site for all the phones.
 
A couple weeks ago, I was looking into texting plans. It showed ”iPhone Text Messaging” as a completely different plan than the usual, for the same $20 a month. It also said Unlimited Messaging was $30, and that included MMS. But, that was for families, so I'm probably wrong.

Haha, I'm downloading the beta now, and I was wondering thesame thing about MMS! thank goodness this thread answered my question!
And it's funny, I just switched to unlimited texting last weekend!

My daughter has a regular cell phone and sends pics and it's included, shes on my plan so I just figured from that mine would be included also.
 
By the way, I currently have a phone with Verizon and unlimited JUST TEXTING is $20 a month. Unlimited MMS and texting is $30 a month, and AT&T looks to be the same way.
 
ATT family plan has a unlimited pic and text message option. The problem is, is that MMS is covered by Medianet and according to ATT media net is not avaiable on PDA/smartphones as these devices use a different network to access the web.

As we know, the iphone has been capable of MMS all along. ATT refused to allow the phones to be set up to their networks to allow MMS.
 
MMS is picture messaging. What are u guys talking about?

the iphone now has picture messaging. when i had verizon i paid 20 dollars its unlimited pics, texts and video. Thats same thing that the att has. Whats the problem? If it costed more i doubt apple would worry about 1g users not being able to have it, because im sure att would tell them.. "ooh put it on 1g phones so we can charge more.

Incorrect. Unlimited MESSAGING, PERIOD, is $20 a month. Included in that is SMS AND MMS. There is no additional monthly fee. If you are paying $20 for SMS and $10 more for MMS, which I doubt you are, you may just be confused, you are being ripped off big time.

Are you on a family plan?
 
Just going to throw something out there...but you've all got to remember you're in the United States...these companies will do anything to take money from you.

When I was with Verizon I got the unlimited text/MMS plan and low and behold it was only valid for 12 months...did they tell me that? Nope.

I'm a new AT&T user of only 3 weeks but I'm holding my breath on the MMS thing.

I really hope its its different over here on AT&T!
 
Verizon screwed u over then, becuase that makes no sense. i had verizon for more than a year and im telling u its unlimited pic, text and video.

Exactly man...I thought the same thing...and argued with them about it but low and behold they said it was only a 12 month promotion.

They still charged me for it too...

Goodbye Verizon...
 
hmm idk that doesnt' seem right. did u have unlimited. well anyway att has it on its website and in stores.
