EXACTLY.
As much as I am dying for MMS, we'll never see it, because Apple doesn't believe it's a good technology. As much as I hate to say it, Apple doesn't listen to their customers. They do what THEY think is best... and hope that consumers feel the same way. (Which most of the time, they do.)

And, yes, MMS is a worthless protocol when e-mail exists on the iPhone. I hardly ever find a use for it.

I think we'll see it. I'm hoping that MMS and SMS get rolled into an easy to use, unified messaging application - preferably iChat. iChat for Windows would be a nice additional touch, maybe at MacWorld or early next year.

Don't you think that for the price they are charging.... price we are paying for texting is ridiculous..... $20 for unlimited text?!

I guess you can say, why do i need a text plan at all!? I have email

....because MMS is pretty much a standard on ALL phones and its convenient as fu#@$ to use. not everyone has email on their phone!?

Im already paying $30 for unlimited data.... oh yeah, texting is an old technology... but costs more than anything.

We should bitch about having to pay for unlimited data which doesnt include texting.....

mms is a must

i love my iphone but i also love sending pics to friends and family mms maybe a old technology but so is sms and not ever one else has the ability to email on there phones. Even if its not strictly multi media "music/video/picture" they at least should have picture messaging i can understand not being able to send music because of DRM and the whole bag of hurt that is. But picture messaging has been around fro years and also should be in iphone.

Would you really want to look and use media that people have sent you with the chat bubble format in the SMS app? Can't work. They would create a completely different MMS pp.

One word: email.

It's really not that hard.

It is however incredibly useless for sending pictures to people who don't have email addresses but do own phones.

Of which I know a fair few.

And while were at it, Apple can't even get e-mail right so there's no excuse there! MMS is NOT replaceable by E-MAIL will you people get it?

If theres a MMS petition why not have one for Full Bluetooth capability?

In fact..... i'd rather they kept these features off the phone and let it's popularity die down and move along.
