MMS working on 3.1 (standard)

I sent an MMS with 3.1b3 when it was first released. No carrier update file and 3.1b3 had 4.5 installed. That's the last time I did it here in MIA, so yes, it will work. Whatever ATT did on their side to let it work, I don't know.

I just activated MMS on my account by logging into att.com/mywireless, clicking on "Features," and then switching my "Messaging" plan from "iPhone Text Messaging 200" to "Messaging 200."

Where are you seeing that? I can't see that option anywhere this is all I see.

Secondly I am trying to do the "Sim card trick" people talk about by moving my iPhone sim into a "non iphone"

Any ideas what needs to be done once I move the sim card into it? Sending an MMS from that phone returns an error (i assume due to their system still thinking I have an iPhone. I really don't wanna call ATT if possible to tell them that I moved phones or something.

Mine looks different:

There was a "iPhone Text Messaging 200" option below all of the "Messaging" options before I switched it over.

Dangit I wish I could figure out how to get mine to show that somehow.

Supposedly choosing the unlimited text for family does the trick but I don't want some crazy prorating issues.

Though my plan closes out in two days. So it wouldn't be that much would it?

Take your pick. Keep trying to "hack" into MMS on ATT by the 25th.

Or just give up and wait a mere 3 weeks. LOL.

Ugh... I just did the SIM swap thing on 3.1b3 and it lasted all of about 6 minutes before getting effed up again.

This is really annoying...

EDIT: Even weirder, on the at&t page is still says I'm on the standard messaging unlimited plan, not the iphone messaging plan. Also, now I cant send MMS from my crappy old blackjack, which I could when I first put the iphone sim in.

This is directed towards the OP or anyone with MMS. If you have MMS enabled, can you group text more than 10 people at a time?

Just wait 19 more days and MMS will be here. The official 3.1 is supposed to be out on the 9th. Amazes me how some of you cant wait and then complain when your phone gets messed up.

Oh and the 3rd gen iPod is supposed to be out on the 25th as well.
