just called safeware and worth ave group, and was told they don't cover if i loss my i phone but they will cover if i phone is stolen.
How good is SafeWare? Are they a reputable company? Will they actually honor a claim?
The reason I ask, is because with SqT I have never had an issue on the one claim I made, and their feedback is consistently good with honoring the policy.
Other vendors not so much. Around ~10 years ago I worked for a company that offered after market warranties (in IT) and I can tell you that they deny as many claims as they possibly can. I'm not saying all are like that, but some are.
You then need to provide a police report if you "make sure it gets stolen" and file a false report so it's insurance fraud as well as filing a false police report.Well then don't lose your iPhone, make sure it gets stolen.![]()
Unless you have specifically "scheduled it" (called an "inland marine" policy like for jewelry, artwork and cameras etc) you had better check on that to be sure. IF you did "schedule" it with your homeowners insurance and make a loss claim it can cost you more on your next 3 years insurance renewals in increased rates then the check you get.My house insurance covers the phone even when lost outside, elsewhere. That's why I don't need separate insurance!
