Hey you guys! I have a question.
Are there mods for Mac games? PC games like Dragon Age Origins, Skyrim, Fall Out series, Mass Effect, Withcer II and alot more games have brilliant mods that are accessible to the gamer. So I am wondering if Mac games have mods too.

Thanks for reading and answering.

Depends on that game. Most the ones I play allow you to put in mods.

What game are you trying to mod?

Games that I have right now are win 7 based.....
1.Skyrim
2.Dragon Age Origins
3.Witcher II
4.Arkham Asylum/City
5.Diablo III (Soon)
6.Baldur's Gate I and II (soon)

Please understand that I am not a hardcore gamer. Currently I am usind alot of mods for Skyrim, Dragon Age Origins, Witcher II. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City as far as I know, do not have mods for them. Could be wrong though.

And since I am going to get a Mac Pro pretty soon, that is if Apple decides to release a new Mac Pro 2012, I am thinking of getting games for the Mac OS. That is why I am wondering if MAc based games have mods like the PC ones does.

Also I would appreciate if you could provide me with link/s to mods for MAc based games. Thank you very much for your help. Awesomeness extreme!!!

Well there aren't too many games that are for Mac that haven't been out for years for the windows counterpart. I do know there are a few mods for COD4 on OSX, but thats an older game as well. If you get a new mac pro, you can definitely get Skyrim on a cider port and play it on OS X, assuming you own a legal copy of it for Windows.

I hope they release a new MP, as I would hate to see that market go down the drain as well.

All my games are legal copies....Infact all listed are PCCEs.....except for Baldur's Gate I and II. I am so new to Mac... so what is the.."cider port"?.... I've never heard of the term before...lol... Gaming newbie, what can I say...:)

Yeah...I'm really hoping that Apple will release the Mac Pro soon. With rumours going wild Apple might just EOLing the Mac Pro..... waiting for any kind of news is very frustrating. The silent treatment from Apple is certainly not helping any. >:-(
Thanks.

Well modding games for mac, well doesn't exactly happen on a daily basis. I would stick to Windows since it runs games better, and there are far more titles.

My impression which may be in error, is that if you look at average mods made for typical PC games, you won’t find these authors churning out cross platform mods. Fair statement?
