Again, "review" whatever you want. I find it amusing that you make a huge deal out of a plug from three years ago. You don't see Car & Driver reviewing a steering wheel cover from 2008, do you?

it's more amusing that you've wasted so much of your time bashing on this guy's thread. if you think he's taking up space on the forum then you replying 6x in this thread has wasted even more.

don't feel like you're so smart and superior because you buy cables from monoprice, its not some hidden elite club. plenty of people have monoprice cables. get over yourself. as for this specific product if you can show me one made by monoprice for cheaper then please do. if not then S.T.F.U

to the OP. thanks for the review, even though the product is old i was never aware they made something like this and had to buy some cheap $2 ones that broke in two weeks. your thread brought the existence of this product to my attention.

No problem man, that's why I posted this review. Thanks

I don't see the problem of this review. Sure it is an old product, but I'm sure it will still help a lot of people.
In fact I just recently bought the same adapter...had I read a review like this I would have put my dollars somewhere else. It is just too stiff for my taste.

Does it degrade the sound quality of the earphones? I'd bought a cheap one on ebay a couple of years back and using my earphone with it the sound is lower and not as loud without using it.

I buy my cables from bluejeanscable lol. Even though this is a 3 year old product, I've never seen or heard of it, it looks like it solves many problems of plugs not fitting with the case on. I'm not a fan of Monster products, especially after the 5 defective Coppers I got from them but this looks useful for those in need of it.

I refuse to buy any Monster products, $6 or not. They are a disgusting excuse for a company.

Thanks for the review, though.

Sorry, but that website didn't paint them as disgusting. Now the kosher meat processing plant that had illegal workers losing limbs in machines and livestock being disemboweled before the were dead was a disgusting company. The only thing wikipedia said they settled on was a battery power claim. Cereal companies get that issue too. Personally I have a 5 year old Monster wireless transmitter for my car. It still powers my iPhone 4, works great, and the cable is perfect unlike my husbands Griffin whose cable was cracked after 6 months of minimal use.

This is getting off topic now, but this is just a business model. Verizon and AT&T do the same thing - selling marked up accessories - like a $30 car charger you can buy on e-bay for a penny. You, and most people around this forum, are saavy enough to decide which accessory is cost-effective for you. Others aren't and they pay the premium. That doesn't make the company disgusting, at least not any more than any of the other companies that do the same thing. I would never buy a monster cable either, for the same reason, but it's their right to charge whatever they want.
