I didn't use that image because it's a terrible one. It doesn't compare to anything and it's hard to determine the true size of it. Sure, it's going to be thick, but for someone who needs the protection/extra battery, it's definitely worth a buy. This case is obviously not for everyone.

Nothing to compare to? In that case, the photo that you posted is also irrelevant because I have no idea what to compare it to. Sure there's an iPhone inside, but I have no idea how far past the edges the case extends. lol

We all know what the iphone looks like from the side, and we all know the distance of an inch. If you don't know what an inch is, but have an iphone, just multiply the iphone's width by 2.75 TIMES, and you'll get the width of this monster case. Yes, almost triple the iphone's width.

Seriously, just carry one of those plug-in battery chargers with you and not turn the iphone into a brick. It's not like this case is waterproof or anything, anyway.

The dimensions are posted in the original post. Grab a ruler and you'll be able to see how thick the case is. No need to be a smart ass. If you don't like the case, so be it... I personally don't have a need for it as I own a Mophie juice pack air and I just wouldn't ever see myself in a situation where I would need this bad boy. I do know a bunch of people who would get a lot of use out of this case.

An otterbox is 0.8 inches thick and this case is 1.02 inches... There really isn't that much of a different between the two in thickness, considering this case adds a 2,500 mAh battery.

It's actually 25% larger than an already huge case.

It's fine if you want to turn your iphone into a brick.

Definitely buying this for iphone 5. This is awesome! It's exactly why I didn't get a mophie before...it doesn't protect the front. This one does so I can buy it.

Anyone get one of these yet?

I'm actually interested in it more now. I rarely use my Juice Pack Plus but when I do, I usually could use a more rugged case anyway so was considering selling the Plus.

My current Mophie continues to take the hits needed to protect my 4S and I typically drain it daily - this new one is a definite replacement when I finally kill the current one.

Also a definite add-on for my eventual iPhone 5 upgrade. The extra juice will be needed to search for those spotty AT$T LTE signals that are coming soon. I am still "enjoying" my 1 MB AT$T 4G connections.

Protection isn't always pretty.

Check out some reviews on YouTube. The case looks decent.
