Not going to happen.
OpenAI will not deliver the supposed gains that they are selling. Microsoft will have realised their CoPilot pyramid scheme isn't playing out and is actually a net financial loss that has detracted from other product value and existing customers and the board will throw Satya out and switch focus in a mass panic to security to retain government revenue in the cloud. Also NVidia's hyped valuation will crash when the market reaches saturation. About this time everyone will discover they don't actually need this current fad of "AI" and all it does is hallucinate stuff within a limited window of credibility. Also government regulation will catch up and kick the market in the balls.
(these are actual market positions that people are playing at the moment)
Edit: Apple are playing the usual conservative engineering policy game that they do which is adopting mature outcomes from the hype, you know the ones that don't make you drive off a cliff or replace the moon with a donut on thursdays on your camera.
You're hilarious.
Satya has been with Microsoft a VERY VERY long time. In fact I'd dare to say with M365 + Azure Cloud Services alone becoming a big match vs AWS from Amazon has been more of an asset than Bill Gates ever was! That is just the beginning of the corporate market. Sales and revenues have steadily climbed since he's been running the show after Balmer and their stock price has steadily matched those efforts bringing Microsoft into the modern era.
In fact if it wasn't for Microsoft's HUGE insight and heavy investments into Chat-GPT, I'd doubt any other major company would have ... and Apple would have had to go with Google's Gemini - and they will if you properly listed to Craig and Cook's statements during the WWDC 2024 presentation!
Bill Gates was to Microsoft as Jobs was to Apple ... and BOTH geniuses had the foresight to setup their own companies for lasting progression. And like both ... Cook and Satya are leading each company to:
Higher marketshare,
Higher value products and services,
Higher revenues and profits (each are aligned where their strengths are, that has NOT changed),
Higher stock prices, options value and dividends for their executive team members and investors.
But no ... your fanboy glasses keeps you blind in the past (prior 2000) thinking its STILL a zero-sum game. Maybe you should try out or research the competitions products before making what is obviously an emotional statement based on conjecture.
Right now Satya has had more influence - via the investment into Chat-GPT and integration into M365 and Windows than Craig has had, neh even John Giannandrea has had with macOS, iOS, and iOS ... simply with Craig's public statement of trying Chat-GPT 4.0 and being astounded with its capabilities and pushing the team to work hard at integrating it.
You gotta ask yourself ... even with reading Apple's executive page what really has John Giannandrea has brought to the table if AI is his expertise if Craig had to try Chat-GPT to push the team in integrating it. Not ONCE did he even mention John at all with his findings nor testing. That should REALLY tell you and all Apple fans (myself included even if I'm staunchly critical) the lag that's been going on.
Apple made some great strides, I'm not taking that away from them yet its only been in hardware. Now the Apple Intelligence (AI still regardless of the cute and savvy branding of it) is playing catch up and the fact its STILL not ready is another obvious sign of them playing catch-up.
And yes ... Samsung didn't do enough to have Gemini anchored into Bixby yet I do see that coming if not being replaced entirely. Either way on my Galaxy S23 I'm not stuck to use Bixby one bit. Choice is a beautiful thing.
