Another photo has emerged this morning on Weibo allegedly showing a genuine iPhone 7 rear case (via 9to5mac).

The latest claim shows a bevelled, protruding camera hole, which contradicts rumors that the next-gen iPhone due in September will have a camera flush with the case.

The camera is also positioned closer to the upper left corner of the chassis than in previous iPhones, while the hole for the lens appears to be larger than that found in the iPhone 6s, suggesting a potentially upgraded camera module.

The photo also appears to show the expected redesigned antenna lines which restrict the bands to the edges of the device. The poster also included images of screen cable components which appear different to equivalent parts in the iPhone 6s.

The alleged leak follows a Weibo post last week which claimed to show a dual-camera module, possibly for the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus, alongside memory chips in 16GB, 64GB, and 256GB sizes, suggesting a higher storage variant for Apple's next flagship phone and the continuing availability of the lowest capacity tier.

As always, without confirmation readers are advised to take these leaks with a grain of salt, but they do at least offer an idea of what components may be circulating in the supply chain.

[doublepost=1464004166][/doublepost]Apple's biggest mistake would be to actually build an iPhone 7 with just 16GB storage. IF the rumors are correct that is.
In my environment most people using iPhone's but all of then allready told me that they're going to skip this 7 version and wait for the new design overhaul when iPhone 8 will appear.

I don't think they are unique in this matter.

I usually upgrade my phone every 2 years so I'm due to upgrade this year. If Apple release a rehashed iPhone 6/6s chassis after 2/3 years to develop something better than I won't be upgrade. I'm not going to reward them for being complacent. To have that awful camera bump for 3 generations is horrendous. I'll be keeping my 6 for another year, I imagine quite a few people will do the same and this might be the first year where upgrade numbers are lower year-on-year

16GB is fine for the base model.

If you are a light user and make use of iCloud/Apple Music then 16GB is more than enough.

My parents have always had 16GB iPhone devices and they've never had any storage issues.

For business use, corporately owned and managed devices rarely need more that 16GB so it helps save costs here too.

Finally some sense!!! For all the other there are 64 and 128 gb options!

The Apple logo looks like a sticker ....:S

The rumors todays are like,...say what ever comes to mind and then change your mind the day after....

It will have 4 speaker ....but then it will not

It will have dual camera, but then again may be not.....or may be the plus

It will have the audio jack.....but may be not

It will be waterproof, but then again it might not

It will come in 3 version 7 /7 plus / Pro....but unsure about the pro....

It will have wireless charging capability, but our sources says it won't

It will have the smart connector, but our friend's classmate thing it won't

It will bave back and front glass, but it may be for 2017

It will look different but also the same!

It won't have the home button, but we believe it will.

They will call it the "New iPhone 6"

Exactly. You just gave me 10 reasons not to believe anything until it's unveiled on-stage.

You couldn't be more correct. We all use our devices for different things. Some people don't need 64GB, for some, as you mentioned, 16GB is more than enough.

Oh and to the people that are complaining that a 16GB model exists yet again, are Apple forcing you to buy a 16GB model? No.

Dropping 16 GB doesn't necessarily mean more expensive though. They could keep the base model at the same price point but start at a higher storage capacity. Remember when we had 4, 8 & 16 GB iPhones? They didn't magically get more expensive over time just because they added more storage. However this is the "new" Apple sooooo ...

Well... The 128gb is at same price of 64gb.

I have to say that back cover looks worst then my 6S! As for the camera lens!!! The antenna lines are really awful.
Think I'll wait for the 2017 model and the rumoured big upgrades.

I bet they don't update the 16GB model to 32GB until 2017 too, although for the cost Apple would be better off making it 64GB. Although theirs more chance of every single member of this forum wining the lottery all at the same time then that!

This rumors gives headaches to Samsung photocopy division.

Seriously, does someone have to chip in with this same old lame comment in every thread.

The S7 looks a lot better than the iPhone 6s IMO.

I only purchased the 6s because I'm a Mac user. If I was a Windows user I would go for the S7 instead. It's a much better smartphone.

Not that anybody knows what's really going on, but I never understood prioritizing a few millimeters of thinness over a flush camera at all. It's still pretty low on on the list of things I care about, but to me it is the equivalent of having a wobbly stool- that is to say it's something nobody wants, and something everyone notices.

Holy shiitake mushrooms! That's a fish eye camera!!!!! Things just got a whole lot more fun with iPhone.

The iPhone 7 is certainly a subtle, evolutionary update. More aesthetics than technical engineering revision. Looks like Apple is saving cool stuff for the 10th anniversary release. With the market saturation, the company must at least be planning a price drop to push upgrades from older releases. The reality is, a lot of users are happy with the older models. The Galaxy S7 and S6 are also great revisions. My brother has a iPhone 5 and Galaxy S5 and he has no plans update anytime soon.

That big lens is hideous and how long are they going to keep 16gb as the base model ? Should be 64,128,256 by now.

I'll gladly take a larger, better camera sensor in exchange for a "hideous" back to my phone.

This.

The iPhone 10.

It's like politics. One day Hillary Clinton says one thing, and the next day you hear something completely different come out of Donald Trump's mouth. Why can't they just stay on the same page?

I don't know it's real or not, but the Apple logo has ragged torn edges and the camera lens has a rhombus-like shape.

WHAT. IS. THAT?!
[doublepost=1464011188][/doublepost]Here's my theory: Apple is releasing iPhone 7 this year; an all new glass model. All these leaked images of bogus looking devices are diversions. I can't wait!

In the days where we have phones capable of taking high-res pictures and 4k videos, why are we still looking at crappy low-res highly compressed "leaked" photos? Seriously.

Not sure how your first claim and the second sentence have got to do with each other. You claimed that 16GB iPhone 7 will be a mistake because people wanted to wait for a new design of iPhone 8? Does that even make sense?

most people keep their phone in at least a very thin case. i don't get why the protruding camera is even an issue. i think apple should provide a thin silicone case with the phone at no additional cost and pretty much kill the case aftermarket. sure some people will still replace them.

5GB base storage is not enough for iCloud for anyone. So let spend 0.99 for month for 50GB. Oh, Apple Music charges you 10 dollars per month m. So you are spending 11 dollar extra just go get by some basic need. Average people keep their phone for 24 months. 11*24=264.

Congratulations, you just find better way for Apple to milking people. Instead milking people for 100 dollar for each storage bump, now we get 264 dollar more. You should really work for Apple's marketing department.
