More apps using GPS

Anyone else notice how many apps are using GPS in iOS 5 now? Mail? Calendar? Settings? App Store? Clock? Music? iTunes? Phone?

It's every stock app except voice memos and notes?

WHY? What a battery chugger. Any reason why I shouldn't disable it in any of those apps?

actually none of those apps are under "location services"

If you are setting it up without your computer, using the GPS will tell it where in the world you are and set your clock to the right time zone.
