Ok awesome!! Thank you for the review and tests! I appreciate it! Looks like a winner, now to decide on a color.

So here is the final verdict. It's by no means applicable to others but in my way of using, i haven't had any dramatic reception loss.

I lose reception at places where i normally don't have any reception like in the elevator at work and at places where i do have minimal reception it still hangs on to the one or 2 bars. Though i do have the feeling it's dropping the 3G a bit faster compared to no case/plastic cases.

I can't say it doesn't have an impact on the reception at all but if there is, it's really minimal :D

well if u own a white iPhone i think the aluminium/blue one looks like the best choice. A black iPhone suits the black/neon one the best. It just that i am a sucker for blue otherwise i would have bought the black one. The other colors are more neutral and suit both imho.

Just a few little things, the front part can be a bit flimsy if you apply a lot of pressure when getting the case off the phone. I've managed to bend it a bit because i was using too much force to pull the front part loose. I tend to pull the front and back part apart at the bottom. The two parts fit really good so a bit of force is needed but be warned not to be careless because it's metal/hybrid thinking it's really tough.

When i put the case back on the phone it got it's "neutral" form back :D

When the case is on the phone it's really sturdy but just don't use too much force when getting it off. Handle it like any other plastic cases because it's still a hybrid case and ur good. The metal layer is not that really thick at all ( i guess the metal layer is like 1 or 2mm thick)

Also it seems to accumulate some dust just like other cases. That depends on were you put your phone. I always put my phone in the pocket of my jeans so it's extra sensitive for accumulating dust.

Edit : also one thing i encountered today. The headphonejack is only accessible for smaller plugs like the stock Apple buds. The plug of my Q-Jays were too big :(

That and you're surrounding the phone with aluminum.

I don't know why this would be a problem. First of all, the phone is not "surrounded" with aluminum. Only the back of the phone. The iPHone 5 already has an aluminum back -- it doesn't seem to affect reception one way or another.

I'm surprised the reception loss isn't dramatic. The case does completely surround the antenna making it a Faraday cage, generally a big problem. Apple highly recommends not covering the glass panels on the back with metal. I believe these areas are over the WIFI and bluetooth antennas.
