That may be your expectation, but the stark reality of it all is, that it won't happen. See car manufactures for examples. And if you believe Apple can't deliver your 100% and another Android vendor can...please by all means. I already posted a link above. You can post the above till the cows come home, it just won't happen.

Why is it members who defend Apple always use the same line 'well if your not happy there is always android', it's pathetic in my opinion.. Quality issues should be addressed so there is NO quality issues in future products. Yes i live in the real world and in the real world there is a huge majority of companies who do not adhere to 100% QC but that does not stop me from wanting and hoping that companies improve on their QC so it always gets to 100% QC.

I've worked in electronic manufacturing for a period of 13 years and as such I am fully aware of QC issues a company can face but even with that being said, the company made 1000's upon 1000's of electronic devices a month and the managing director would still be unhappy if 1 of those devices failed for QC issues regardless of what the companies acceptable fail rate was.

It's pathetic when posters use the term pathetic.

Well it's all well and good to have a 100% defect free process and plan for that.

But that obviously is not the real world and to expect something that will never happen (at least with consumers grade electronic devices) seems like folly to me, regardless of the "feelings" of the managing director.

If you hate Apple that much why did you buy an iPhone? And that’s an honest question. Not a sarcastic one

I don't hate Apple. I prefer Apples software & eco system to Androids is the main reason i stick with them. Security as well. As much as i hate returning/exchanging something Apple does make it pretty simple so iappreciate their customer service.

I just feel for the price they are slacking in the quality control department and i would like them to address it.

They will once the spec of dust gets in the way of their viewing pleasure and then it will be a case of straight down to the Apple store to get a replacement.

Excellent point. The OP has posted pictures of the phones claiming defects, but frankly I can't see what he is complaining about. It would are great if he posted a picture he took showing the actual ramifications of the defects he claims... as you suggest here. It should be obvious in the viewing pleasure as you point out.

Ohhh right, so if i see dust in the lens i shouldn't worry until it effects the picture ? Than a week after my warranty ends what do i do when it does ?

Take some pictures right away. Not a week after your warranty runs out. It either effects them or it doesn't. It's either dust, or its not. If you can go a whole year of taking pictures with no effect, it's not going to suddenly crop up a week later. Some people nitpick and drive up the costs for those of us that don't.

If I am expected to pay alot of money for an expensive product, I expect 100% perfect qc and I do not see why that is a problem. It does not matter if they make a trillion phones and only 100 fail, the quantity is insignificant, the 100 should not have failed.
That doesn't hold true for a lot of expensive things in life that have even been around for way longer than mobile phones.

Not wanting dust in your camera is nit picking ? 🤣

I stand by my comment. You call it dust, you showed a picture where it wasn't obvious if there was anything there at all. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. You laid down the gauntlet about this being an example of poor quality control and why you should return it. great. I ask you to show the impact on photos of whatever it is you are seeing. Because in the end, whatever it is, if it has zero impact on it's use, what is the real point? Dust on the sensor of a SLR is very obvious in a picture. You resist my request. I don't think we have much more to talk about.

those light bleed complaints are all over the inter webs especially Samsung phones. It’s not a light bleed due to gaps but a reflection of the light hitting the frame and causing reflection when you go about looking for it in a dark room. SMH.

The light is leaking from the adhesive under the display. It's not a reflection lol.

Had it on a $3000 Macbook Pro as well.

Utterly irrelevant. People post complaints. They rarely post compliments.

When’s the last time you saw a thread starting “My 6 month old iPhone is still working fine”?

Never.

You are under the mistaken impression that complaints on random message boards are signs of real issues.

Most of the time, they’re not.

Life is more than forums. And folk who post on forums are a microscopic proportion of the smartphone using public.

So unless you can demonstrate some real life metrics, all you have is subjective anecdotal complaining.

And stop being so bloody paranoid. I’m not following you around. It’s inevitable that folk who post frequently will meet up in multiple places. I’ve got far better things to do than personally stalk you!
I hope someone posts that thread now. haha
