On a different XenForo forum, I noticed that there are much more emojis and reactions available. Is there a reason as to why MacRumors has disabled/changed some of these? Just curious... 🤔

(All of the emojis in the emoji picker are in the XenForo style)

I don't think we changed any of those intentionally. It may be because those were added as default at some point and our defaults stayed with whatever we had years ago.

Oh, okay. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for clarifying! 👍
Don't forget that you don't need to restrict yourself to just forum emoji. You can type your own

🧐😎🥺🥶👻🖐🤔🚜🚚🚕

Of course that does not help with reactions.

Why hasn’t Apple moved emoji updates from an iOS update to an add on iMessage module update?
That way older iOS version can still get the latest updates.

Because they aren't just pictures, they're representations at a system-level like every single letter or piece of punctuation you've read so far in this post of mine. What you want would be impossible.

The "I agree" emoji and "head-banging" emoji are desperately needed. I think those two emojis alone could reduce the number of words posted by 50%.

I am laughing only because I see the value in the head-banging reaction, and I agree with what you said.

I agree that we need an "I agree" emoji. Sometimes I'll read a post and I'll agree with whatever is being said, but the closest that I can come is to use the 'like" emoji, and that really is different in meaning. I may agree with something but that doesn't necessarily mean that I actually like it!

You mean the reaction picker, ya?
