Or, it's simply the phone Apple will announce in 2 days :p .

I wonder why people think this one is real, yet the Volk leak, which seems more credible since we saw the machined metallic interior too (and they clearly looked metallic) and other interior pars is somehow not real. Please tell me why that should be?

The finish in the Volks video looks much better even though they assembled the phone themselves (seems counter intuitive!). Is it only because they had much better video equipment and better lighting?

Volks also leaked over a longer period BTW.

These guys copy cars, you think they can't copy a phone considering other phones are probably made in the same factory for real makes.

Aye, everyone has their "thing", I used to be really bad with OCD but I've gradually forced myself out of it in most ways - oddly I'm the opposite with the phone, I never put a case on it because I like the design. Not broken one yet but I have dinged the odd corner here and there! I dropped my iPad (in a leather case) on holiday last month and the aluminium corner is dented up into the glass, pushing it away from the casework, now I can never remove that leather case because I'll see the damage - as long as the case is on I can pretend it doesn't exist! :D

That would irk me too much. I’d have to knock out some extra overtime to afford a new one.

That was my opinion. It looks really glossy to me.

Are there no Chinese characters for Safari, Passbook, etc. ?

Stuff like "App Store", there are literal translations but sometimes it's best to keep the native English words. "Safari" itself is Arabic and means to go look at/hunt animals and is pretty abstract.

Interesting: A Premium device made in China . Just a though. How the Western world perceives itself. :)

China is obviously capable of manufacturing premium devices, so long as someone with the right talent and capital is driving the design, specs, and quality standards for their manufacture.

You can correct this quite easily. The geometry of the phone simply adds a fixed angle to pitch, yaw and roll. Unless of course the phone has no stable position. But I can't imagine that.

Another thing I just thought about: Whenever I take pics of myself, I let the iPhone (5 in this case) stand on one edge and use a timer. It's not very comfortable, but it works. You can't do that any longer. I especially remember a (granted, pretty silly) app that took panorama pictures by rotating the iPhone using the vibration alarm. It wasn't particularly useful, but whatever.

One of the reasons that the back of a Spirit level is completely flat is to help even out the imperfections in the surface upon which they rest.

Good design is timeless. Notice how gracefully car designs from MB, BMW, & Audi age, compared with most American or Japanese car designs.

Nope. I’m one that complains about the Porsche. Incredibly lazy, (if still quite good), design.
The 911 has looked that way for how long???

A phone not produced or constructed by an apple facility is considered counterfeit.

How to prove then? Even if the phone to be released is EXACTLY the same in every detail you can still insist this one is counterfeit. Betting on if the system will have 6+1 rows is better. Thoughts?

Holy crap guys, stop bitching about the damn clock or music icon and watch all the fu***** videos, it can't be fake.

I find myself obsessed with this release,
it's exactly the same feeling as when I was a kid and waited for christmas eve to come. I've missed that feeling in adult life, but I still have it in before these announcements :D

Even if it got bad reviews, I'm going to watch the Jobs movie before the event (tuesday evening here in Sweden) and then load up with snacks and sweets and stuff and watch the live stream like it's the most anticipated movie of the year. :p :apple:

I suspect Tuesday's presentation will include other things that will overshadow the iPhone.

Not really, icons are likely to only be spaced further apart like the iPad but numbers of apps has no relation to the authenticity of this device.

Strange that they don't open Control center or Notification center in any of these video...

It came out in 1963, but it changed significantly until the 1970s and seems to have stuck close to that design ever since.

It has serious relation. Let me shed some light regarding your logic chain: from this leak we knew the 6+1 layout (we had never ever known this before); if this is true then the OS leaked is real. The chance to put a real OS on a fake piece hardware is close or equal to impossible. Thoughts?

This exemplifies the worst of hands-on videos. Improvised, disorganized, and with no real point besides "look at this". He did almost nothing to accentuate the differences/novelties of the new model or prove its veracity. It was mostly just him absentmindedly swiping back and forth.

I'll admit that I don't speak Mandarin and might have missed something. But IMO a better video would have:
-measured it
-highlighted the new buttons and their placement
-demonstrated how Apple uses the new resolution (more icons? keyboard takes up less space? take a screenshot?)
-demonstrate the new camera. at least the resolution! Any new modes?
-show us the weird new camera bump. does it make the phone rock? Is it magnetic?
-anything to be inferred from new apps like Health or HomeKit settings?
-Is there mobile payment functionality in Passbook?

Japanese eye phone innovation?

This video is so entertaining and accurate isn't it about the use of phones in public and the inspiration for new eyefones of the future???

I love the fake hair phone so much I need to get my uncle one!

ALSO must add: In Asia especially in Japan, your cell phone is really everything you need, unlike here where we are sold a fantasy and sold many varieties of hipster feelings about connectivity, and under consumption of media -- the Japanese are well ahead, well ahead of all of us over here on all levels with their incredible phones :) Check it out:

I LOVE you all !!!

Yes, if its chromakeyed on the body of a damn goo phone done with the leaked specs doc. You just use IOS8 running on a 5s as your source video for the overlay. Then, you just has to rehearse the movements over the screen to match the video and voila, you got a IOS 8 running on whatever you want.

For those who know how to use the tools, video and photo compositing can be a hoot.

Could even get it to work on a Samsung S5, a Nexus or a 105 inch Samsung TV :).

Haha. This phone is so ugly. Huge bezels, low res screen. Was so ready for iPhone 6. Gonna buy a Note 3 instead for almost nothing now that the 4 is out. And the Note 4 has bigger bezels than Note 3 and back speaker. Seems like Note 3 was the last reasonable high end phone.

No, just no, this way the ios would be just scaled up without no extra space or row of icons, just a bigger version of 5s and it is not, and this method would not work so well using the phone. Futhermore, the goophone i6 has a different sensor layout on the top
