This whole debate is useless.Who cares if it's real or not.The reveal is two days away.We are pretty sure this is what the phone will look like.I don't get the obsession with proving this fake.If this leaked in May or June I could understand the debate.

Interesting that we haven't gotten any news on the C model devices (6C?). Either no one really cares about them or maybe Apple is dropping it already.

C models released every other year alongside S model, if they continue to produce them.

Haha. This phone is so ugly. Huge bezels, low res screen. Was so ready for iPhone 6. Gonna buy a Note 3 instead for almost nothing now that the 4 is out. And the Note 4 has bigger bezels than Note 3 and back speaker. Seems like Note 3 was the last reasonable high end phone.

Goodbye, it was nice knowing you!

It would be great if they could chop 1/3 off of the top bezel. I could live without Touch ID as I've never used it (my nuclear launch codes will be safe).

Yes, let's get rid one of the most useful and important features beloved by millions of iPhone users and make it look like some nameless and unrecognizable smartphone brand cos some guy on the internet doesn't like bezels. :p

Nope. I’m one that complains about the Porsche. Incredibly lazy, (if still quite good), design.
The 911 has looked that way for how long???

Why do you feel things need to change drastically just for the sake of change? An Eames RAR chair or lounger & ottoman still look fantastic and are still produced today looking identical to when they were first launched.

As said before, good design is timeless - in the case of the 911 and a lot of apple products, updates are made to improve ergonomics, safety (in the case of cars), usability, performance etc but the design language stays the same.

Without trying to sound like a proper commie b*stard unfortunately the world's consumerist, ADHD, throwaway mentality means that a lot of the time change is made for the sake of change, not when it's needed.

No, just no, this way the ios would be just scaled up without no extra space or row of icons, just a bigger version of 5s and it is not, and this method would not work so well using the phone. Futhermore, the goophone i6 has a different sensor layout on the top

I said a new version, so different than the current one obviously.

Seriously, I've been a computer and electrical engineer (multiple diplomas) since the early 1990s. To someone like me, any level of faking is possible. Just a question of having the resource and dedication to do it.

You can argue with me that it would be pointless to go to this length to fake. That's a point I could almost believe if I'd not seen more efforts being spent on much less results on Youtube; fleeting 15 second of "fame".

large

What I am kind of wondering ist the fact that this is using the ios 7 icons with the old gradiens (Safari, mail). The newer ones are more subtle. Also look at the calendar. The date is written bolder on the iphone 5s , they changed that with ios 7.1 I think (?)

I can't believe there are so many leaks really. Are there no legal repercussions for people and organizations for these leaks?

Or perhaps they are phased out and staged by Apple themselves. As we can see from iWatch and 5.5 inch phone, it's quite possible to contain the leaks to a much better degree.

Update: French site Nowhereelse.fr, which has been a reliable source of leaked parts, reached out to debunk this leak. It says that a Chinese leaker would never show their face in this kind of situation, and that many iPhone 6 clones come with knockoff Touch ID sensors.

Come on now even the daily mail is saying its fake!

Why on earth would Apple want to take away their own hype by having a review like this posted literally three days before the phone launches??

Most people don't care because they are smart enough to realise that even if it is ~fake~, the real thing is going to be either 98% identical, if not 100% identical.

China is obviously capable of manufacturing premium devices, so long as someone with the right talent and capital is driving the design, specs, and quality standards for their manufacture.[/QUOTE

I'm just saying there is a stigma with China and quality and Apple with premium products. Seems like an oxymoron .

I understand they want the device to look symmetric but they could really reduce the bezel on the top of the phone.

That is silly. If you do any gaming on the iPhone, you absolutely need it symmetrically distributed. In fact, from a gaming perspective, I am actually very happy with the amount of bezel they have. It could be perhaps smaller by 10%. Anything smaller than that, virtual game buttons on the edge would be uncomfortably close to the edge to press.

Fingers crossed for fake. I hate this design.

Just to save u some disappointment, you better accept that this is the design of the new iPhone, 100%. The phone in the video could be fake, but even if it is it is a exact copy of the actual design. It's a bad feeling to watch a keynote end before they announce the product or design u really thought was coming.

Don't worry. They will accept this truth with 100% happiness after the announcement.

2 (Galaxy 4) this month, 2 more in Jan 2015 (iphone 5)... contracts ends.. Total 4 iPhone 6. whew... no more Android. Graphically it is nice but OS is another thing to be desired. Everything in IOS >>> smooth as butter and logically placed. I had custom roms installed (Carbon Roms, Xylon, CodefireX and several others) it is nothing like even the Beta IOS. I liked it but... time to move back to iPhone 6.:). Galaxy's even the 5 (office colleague) crashes so often ... not funny at all. I hate it when having scrum meetings it just stops even on original ROMs. My colleague got a S5 2 months ago. He really regretted it now since I think the Ip6 is coming. He is a macbook person.. oh well

I don't know if its a good fake or real. I'm leading towards real but a couple things make me question that. Regardless these leaks are getting me pumped up for Tuesday.

Now I need to figure out if I should go the contract route or ATT Next. Decisions decisions.

Both contract and ATT Next are really one in the same, either way, you're paying more money. I'm personally buying an unlocked phone for the first time to keep my lower data rate.

Same here. Being with contract will cost $15*24=$360 more for one line in two years compared with off contract; if it's data shared 10GB or above it will cost $25*24=$600 more!

In light of the fact that Apple has taken the drastic step of going with much bigger phones, it would stand to reason that they would change the look of the phone substantially to differentiate it from the previous line-up so it screams "new"...... Much like the step from 3G to 4.
