You guys who still think this is real are either a). very hard-headed, b). not paying very close attention, or both. Well this does depict almost exactly what the phone will look like on Tuesday, the real one will not have 6 rows of icons and will be made from high quality metal, not cheap plastic like this fake.

I've tested with my iphone, voicemail still there

Maybe that one has never been activated with a SIM card? VM should only work after proper carrier setup from the system.. just my guess. Or let's step back, how hard would it be to add such an icon if it were fake?

Good that you have an opinion where we differ. I think after looking at those pics and videos I am 95% sure it will be 6+1 rows of apps.

The following are posts from only the first page of the first iPhone 4 leaked photos on macrumors:

I posted this exact post 2 years ago when people said the iPhone 5 leaks were ugly and fake.

Hahah yep. I remember those comments. This thread was like deja vous.

Let's take a step back, shall we? If this is real, why hasn't Apple remotely deactivated it like they did when the infamous iPhone 4 was "found in a bar" and a 5s leaked last year? Why does it have a 2.5 mm headphone jack when all of the earlier, proved leaks have had a 3.5 mm jack? It's not a genuine iPhone; Just a really good fake.

The more you look at it, the uglier it gets. Looks like a cheap knockoff when next to the gorgeous 5s.

If you look at the iPhone 5 and 5s headphone jacks, there is a thick chrome/shiny collar around the jack input. This supposed iPhone 6 does not have any such collar, probably because the phone is such a thin profile.

Otherwise, the jack openings appear to be the same size (looking past the collar), at 3.5mm. Sent from my iPad.

The screen protector also stops the olephobic coating from wearing. I guarantee if you held up a new phone side by side with yours you’d notice miniscule wear patterns and scratches.
Yes, I did say miniscule and somnetimes it makes a difference. Some people buy things that are well designed but want them to remain looking absolutely perfect. I am one of those. Call it OCD or whatever you want but as soon as you get but the tiniest of scratches it’s almost as if your eye is drawn to it everytime you use the phone and it appears to some that someone has carved a gorge in the front of it.

For the same reason screen protectors feel to me like plastic covers for furniture.

Or done a take down request... almost always when there is a real leak Apple legal does take down requests.

Yep, but the point is they maintain a pristine phone.

For me, having the phone actually look and feel pristine during use is more important than knowing it's pristine underneath the equivalent of a condom. ;)

Fake

Why do you publish clearly fake rumors? No way are these devices real iPhones 6, they are big, bulky and ugly. No way would Apple reverse the zeal for thinness for a phone that is twice as thick as a Galaxy.

This might've been home assembled from real parts or a sophisticated knockoff with the guts of the real iPhone inside, but you can guarantee it's the final design. The responsiveness and fluidity of the UI suggest a genuine Apple screen and internals. We've already seen photos of leaked A8 processors and complete motherboards.

The thing looks truly gut-wrenchingly awful! And I'm not talking about the finishing but the design. They've removed everything that made the iPhone 4/5 design classic and iconic; its strong lines and flat sides with right-angle edges, and morphed it into an uninspiring curvy abomination with no discernible edges at all.

That 5s looks beautiful by comparison.

And that protruding camera! What were they thinking?

There's no way I'd want this, even though I feel like a bigger screen. I'd get a refurb 5s if I had to but more than likely hold onto my 5 for as long as possible. I'm shocked that Apple has done this.

For those questioning the headphone jack seeming smaller on the supposed leaked new iPhone, here is a pic comparing the iPad Air and iPhone 5.

The 5 has a shiny collar around the jack, making it seem wider for pics in comparison to the profile of the iPad, which I assume is the case with the new iPhone without collar (ie, similar profile to the iPad). Sent from my iPad.

Ugly

Not liking the look of this device. The shiny, curved screen thing looks cheap and easy to scratch. The top and bottom bezels are too big for the device dimensions.
Basically, I'll replace my iphone 5 with a 5s if this is it.

So many people in denial. After seeing these videos with the right animations, speed and operation, it has to be real.

As for the lack of a retail box and packaging: the iPhone could be stolen out of a factory or from a carrier testing the device.

Some people argue that it doesn't have the stock water wallpaper from iOS8. The new wallpaper is added in to make it fancier, just like they did with the iPad Air.

Also there are a lot of people nitpicking about the bezels. Personally I think Apple is intentionally keeping the top and bottom bezels to keep the iconic 'iPhone look'. Just like you can almost always recognize the brand of a car by looking at the overall design of the car, you can also easily recognize iPhones in the public by the top and bottom bezels.

Fair enough but why do all the other leaks show significantly thinner bezels then? These are huge in comparasion. Something's not right with this.

Another video of iPhone 6.

That crudely beveled back is just awful. If they needed something that thick they would gracefully taper it like the back of an iMac.

You can correct this quite easily. The geometry of the phone simply adds a fixed angle to pitch, yaw and roll. Unless of course the phone has no stable position. But I can't imagine that.

Another thing I just thought about: Whenever I take pics of myself, I let the iPhone (5 in this case) stand on one edge and use a timer. It's not very comfortable, but it works. You can't do that any longer. I especially remember a (granted, pretty silly) app that took panorama pictures by rotating the iPhone using the vibration alarm. It wasn't particularly useful, but whatever.

I don't think that app was silly at all. It was ingenious.

The real question should be - does anyone outside the U.S. actually care, fake or not fake. It's just the launch of a phone.

Now if someone was turning water into wine that would be something, but this?

Agreed. This is the real deal.

Really just seems like another iteration of the iPhone. Will have to wait for the keynote to see what hidden gems are to be revealed, (outside of NFC, air pressure/temp, camera)

i recall 64 bit in the 5S was a surprise for most.

The protruding camera doesn't seem to stick out very much at all.

It is .67mm, want to see what its like, take a very common .50mm mechanical pencil lead and lay it on a table. Put your iPhone 5 down on the lead at about the area of the camera lens. Viola....you can see the very small impact this new lens has, in particular if the trade off is for substantially improved optics with image stabilization.

Same thing with those bands, Apple did that for a reason, maybe it was NFC or something more, as with everything you might need to accept a little bad to get all the goodies.

My 2 cents

I sure hope your right.

Thanks Charadis you are awesome.

Nope. I’m one that complains about the Porsche. Incredibly lazy, (if still quite good), design.
The 911 has looked that way for how long???

My main beef with Porsche is that I don't think the materials, fit and finish of their interiors live up to their price and status. At least not on most of their models.

Aesthetics are very subjective, but the 911's lines do have a certain classic appeal. And if you doubt their ability to produce a truly modern vehicle and design, check out the 918 Sypder.
