Leaked iPhone 6 is 138x67 mm. 2.06 times taller than wide.

Galaxy S5 is 142x72.5 mm. 1.96 times taller than wide.

...
... Seriously people...
5.1% difference.

Again, its not the actual phone size its the bezel vs screen size that gives the "appearance". PLUS the iPhone has maintained a very similar design since its inception which has increased height without width.

Its not that iPhone is insanely tall or anything its more about the perception of the design especially in comparison to the competition and previous generation iPhones.

That doesn't change the fact that the iPhone appears to be tall and skinny compared to other phones out there.
Something to think about, the Nexus 5 is a 5" screen and just under 138mm tall.

I thought they were making it wider... this thing does not look wider at all it looks like it just got taller.... again...
I swear if the battery doesn't last at least twice that of my iPhone 5 (4 hours?) I'm officially off the bandwagon.

And finally there are the smaller top/bottom and side bezels

Yeah, vertical and lateral bezels seem clearly slimer on this photo.

If the 138mm x 67mm dimensions are correct, it could very well be a 4.8" screen (1360x768 at 326 ppi):
to accomodate the screen, top and bottom bezels would each need a 1.6mm shave compared to the 5/5s bezels, and each lateral bezel a 0.8mm shave.

It's mathematically impossible for the screen to get bigger but not wider and maintain the same aspect ratio.

I'm convinced there will only be the 4.7 and it make sense. Apple wont jump from a 4 to a 5.5. Not their style.

What about people who want a choice in screen size, making a 4.7" and 5.5" would give people that choice.

Tall and skinny are pluses IMO. Having used the Note 3 it's a great phablet and screen, but the phone is just a bit too wide to be used one handed all the time. It's possible, but sometimes you have to contort your thumb or adjust your grip.

I'm definitely disappointed in the bezels though. The top bezel should be much smaller IMO. The bottom bezel should be smaller, but at the same time Apple pegged it with the FP sensor and I'd hate to see them change that and off decreased performance. The side bezels should be edge to edge by now.

Still, at the end of the day if its aluminum and has that "solid" Apple feel then I'm all in. I'm a sucker for that solid non-plastic feel.

Or the dimensions could be ~136.4x63.8.

I'm also of the thought that Apple will only release the 4.7" phone.

I assume, like in the past, they will also keep a previous generation for sale at a cheaper price. I'll use the 5s for this example. That would give Apple the following:

iPhone 5s (4")
iPhone 6 (4.7")
ipad mini (7.9")
ipad air (9.7")

Can you really see them offering a 5.5" phone in with that?

Or the dimensions could be ..
I go with the last rumors about dimensions published by MacRumors.
If it's not optical illusion caused by perspective, the slimmer lateral bezels on this photo shows this can't be a 4.7" screen (lateral bezels would be of same dimension as on the 5s, with a width of 67mm).

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a clone running android. There are several manufacturers that make them.

It's not an impressive design. Looks like a copy of a Samsung. I'd still get one though. I sort of knew I wouldn't be blown away like I did with the 4/4S. Now that was a drastic change. Oh well… Let's see what the iPhone 7 has to offer.

And what happens to the C models? iPhone 6C maybe? And yea I could see them doing it in order to compete with devices like the Galaxy Note.

Perhaps they got rid of the light/distance sensor, and the camera is left of the microphone? Just like the iphone 4/s.
They have a patent for such a sensor in-screen.

It certainly looks better than that big black dot on the other pictures.
