There is nothing wrong with typing on the iPhone 5, if there was then there would be a lot more replies than 25.

Also why are we bringing this thread back to like after 7 months

It's been now one year since I got the iPhone 5, so I had plenty of time to adapt. I still type way faster on my wife's iPhone 4S. I'm not sure if it's the form factor or the screen sensitivity, but I'm guessing it's a bit of both. I can type much quicker on the previous models. I could actually type pretty darn fast and that was one of the reasons to stick to the iPhone. I wish there was a software fix for that, but it seems to be an ergonomics/hardware issue.

Having gotten used to the length of the iPhone 5 now, when I type on a friend's iPhone 4, I made tons of mistakes.

No problem at all, now I find it more difficult to type on the 4 :D maybe because the iphone 5 is thicker

Even if you use a screen protector, you got no mistake ?

I want to know if I should put a screen protector and don't be annoying by increase the mistakes with keyboard .

Anyone tried with and without screen protector?

You'll be fine. Only downside to screen protectors is they add a little friction, so it isn't as smooth to glide your finger. But, for typing, it's fine.

They cost next to nothing for a pack of 10, so you've nothing to lose.

The iOS keyboard desperately needs to be updated and could use new features, too.

Given the taller screen of the iPhone 5, I was hoping they'd move the send button further away. I've hit send accidentally while walking and texting. Numbers along the top of the normal keyboard would be nice too, would really handy when entering passwords.

Agreed.

Or long presses for those numbers. Long presses in general for all the alt-keys.

My 5 has no issues with sensitivity or anything of the sort. Typing is feels pretty much the same compared to my 4s.

when i type and try to push the letter m or l it usually just backspaces and i get annoyed and just dont wanna text anymore
