Trouble is, no one will get to see them in the flesh if pre-ordering is the method again this year. I would still like to see an all-aluminum/silver one ala the original iPhone for nostalgia. Actually the conceptual one looking like the iMac was also a good one. Wonder what you could do with a little paint!!!!![]()
True, but there's nothing preventing the frame around the screen to be black (black plastic, black anodized aluminum, whatever). They can create the illusion of the illustrated design without sacrificing durability. They're no strangers to illusions, I mean... tapered edges, black bezels tricking you to believe you're looking at edge-to-edge glass, etc.Major design flaw here... as a mobile device, it's going to get jostled around. The very first thing one should notice is that the sides of this glass-to-the-edge design would chip, potentially spiderwebbing a crack through the entire display with one bump against a hard surface. The design as it is protects the display from lateral impact.
