Ugly as ****

looks like something made by compaq or some **** PC company. no slick at all.

doesnt really matter to me what colour i get sure il have a case on it but im really digging the white now after all these renderings :D

Major design flaw here... as a mobile device, it's going to get jostled around. The very first thing one should notice is that the sides of this glass-to-the-edge design would chip, potentially spiderwebbing a crack through the entire display with one bump against a hard surface. The design as it is protects the display from lateral impact.

Trouble is, no one will get to see them in the flesh if pre-ordering is the method again this year. I would still like to see an all-aluminum/silver one ala the original iPhone for nostalgia. Actually the conceptual one looking like the iMac was also a good one. Wonder what you could do with a little paint!!!!

True, but there's nothing preventing the frame around the screen to be black (black plastic, black anodized aluminum, whatever). They can create the illusion of the illustrated design without sacrificing durability. They're no strangers to illusions, I mean... tapered edges, black bezels tricking you to believe you're looking at edge-to-edge glass, etc.

i think white is very tight. i personally like it better than the black. definitely hope it comes out as this design

I love this render, and it would be so simple to bring this into the new design too. simply have the aluminium ring ring on the back round the phone, and then keep the zirconium back.

so everything would stay the same, with the exception of having a little bit of aluminium on the front next to the home button.

I am super happy with the current Iphone and looking forward to the next, but I think I and the render have got something.

I can't put my finger on it, but it does have a Sony-esque look. The lines are not clean like previous iPhones. Taking this long to update the front of the phone does not surprise me, considering that's how Apple does things.

For all the future 4G users, I hope the actual phone function is vastly improved. I know my 3GS sucks as a phone. I partly blame AT&T for the worst service in America and the phone itself as it seems to get worse signal that other AT&T users I know who don't own smart phones. I'm also curious about how 4G will be deployed with AT&T. Sprint's seems to be hit or miss, outside or inside a building if you will. There seems to be some issue there right now. AT&T doesn't even have 4G....

This will sell like hotcakes, but compared to the new EVO and Nokia N8 and some of the other high powered phones coming out this year.
