That is paying for return shipping.

that's what I said above.... not sure why the OP had to pay for return shipping when it was a defective product.

I have Otterbox Defender cases for my last 5 smartphones and tablets.

When the tab or cover broke, Otterbox only requires me to email them a digital photo showing the broken part. They shipped out replacement free of charge very quickly.

Or when I ordered a $250 replacement Osram CBI HID bulb. The bulb arrived slightly wobbly at the base. The seller told to place the bulb inside a heavyduty plastic bag and break the bulb. They also only want a picture showing the bulb in pieces. A replacement $250 bulb was shipped to me via FedEx overnight.

Guess not every company handle customer service that way?

I had 3 different Moshi cases for my 15" Retina and returned all of them due to the same fitting issue. The bottom piece would always be bending out. Plus, the 3rd one started cracking exactly where yours did but a different type of cracking.. like the rMBP was forcing the curve of the case out so you could see tiny little scratches.. I guess it's fate would be the same as yours if I did not return it.

Ended up buying a clear Speck smartshell even though the reviews weren't that great and knowing it would be full of scratches in no time. Truth is, it fits perfectly, the scratches are, in fact, there but it protects the rMBP and it's still in one piece and that's what matters the most.

I had the same problem and they never sent me the 2nd replacement. I am so angry with this company- Is there a public forum to write a review so they will see it??
