Fortunately I wasn't strolling around with my pants down so thankfully for them it's not required.

Just a follow up to the vinegar solution, I'm surprised how good it works. I was bitten about 5 or 6 times on my upper arm. I applied the vinegar and within an hour or two there's no sign I was bitten at all, as well as no itchiness or heat irritation.

Well done; I'm surprised and pleased for you that the vinegar remedy works; it is fascinating that something so readily available can work so well, and it is something I will bear in mind for myself. Re heat - scalding hot water and cold (ice packs), I've tried both, and both give relief.

Cheers

I was really skeptical when I was told to put vinegar on it, but it is definitely now my go-to source for insect bite relief.

I haven't tried the hot water on heat irritation. I can't wrap my brain around putting something hot on something to cool it down. It reminds me of a joke I heard a while back... "We tried fighting fire with fire, but your house just burned down quicker". I have used ice though.

Any kind of cream or lotion that has colloidal oatmeal in it should work great.

Aveeno eczema is one that comes to mind that will help.
