Most asthetically pleasing iPad 2 carbon fiber skin?

To me, it doesn't affect the smart cover at all. It's still very strong, it's very stable in landscape position too. Here's another pic of how the smart cover attaches. The bottom of the pic is distorted a little by the refelction.
I personally don't think the corners look bad at all, but then again it is mine and given I already spent 24 bux I doubt I'm gonna change it! But, it was a trade-off: more coverage on the sides (closer to the edge) vs. a more rounded corner with less coverage on the sides. I chose more coverage for added protection. And I wanted silver...
I got a confirmation from iCarbons. The inserts come automatically with the color you choose and you no longer need to select them in the ordering process.
Does anyone know if they have a Coupon Code going right now?

Why do the pics of the silver have the cuts/slits in the corners but the pics of the black carbon fiber do not?
Different companies are providing the products.
The iCarbons don't have the small cutouts in corners, but don't provide as much coverage along the edges.
The Skinomi (the one I bought) has the small gaps in the corners...but provides coverage along the edges almost entirely. Skinomi is also a 3M product (don't know if iCarbons is).
Wow, I hadn't noticed it until I really looked at all the pictures but the coverage on the edges of the iCarbons is horrible. I have the Body Guardz carbon fiber and was going to order the iCarbons. Although I like the Apple logo and slightly better corner coverage on the iCarbons, the amount of edge unprotected is not kind of turning me off. My BodyGuardz one covers much more than that. I might just sit tight and wait to see if they fix that, or if something else comes along.
Can you take a better picture of the edge to show how far the skin goes up?
Of the Skinomi? I think the 2nd & 4th pic I posted of my install shows it fairly clearly. There's maybe about 1/16" gap that it doesn't cover along the edge.
If you still want a closer up pic, I can do that.
1/16ths of an inch? thats exactly the same amount of gap along the edge as the iCarbons, 2/16ths on the corners

To me, the skinomi is noticeably closer to the edge than than what I've seen on the iCarbons. Looks like the skinomi is about 1/32" of an inch from the edge.

Great photos guys. Sure looks like more on the iCarbon but 1/16th isn't bad. The corners bother me a little. Seems to me this is where you'd stand the biggest chance of "dings". The Skinomi appears to be much tighter for sure but the both look like winners.

I have 4 different sheet of 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber vinyl to work with from a past project of mine. Luckily they are the perfect size for this. I think I am going to use the white carbon fiber.
So far, I have taken a bunch of time and traced out the outline of the iPad 2. Sometime in the next day or two (whenever I get some time) I will go ahead and cut it out and see how everything fits.
Hopefully if everything turns out correctly, I will have a cover that combines the benefits of those two skins into one and I'll have one great looking skin... hopefully...

For those that have received your skins from iCarbon, how long did it take to receive your skin after you got your shipping notice?
