Edit: And also, you know OHC engines have been around since the 1930s right? 😎
The only thing I'm going to say is this. If that technology is THAT amazing, then why didnt they use it? The numbers dont lie. 1.1g on the skidpad, an AMAZING 'ring time, incredibly lightweight.840quadra said:Indeed, I do know my auto history. And I also know that "those" OHC engines did not come wth 4 to 5 valves per cylinder, Variable Valve timing, Direct injection, or optional turbocharging.
The LSx is a good motor, but IMHO far from amazing.
Z06(Cough...Leaf spring...Cough) is a nice machine, and it better get good power being 7000+ CC's! Not my taste, but does good on the track , and will be hard for GM to top.
The GTO was great for 2001 (think Monaro) but in 2005?
F Body is no longer available.
And for the record, I am NOT a Ford driver 😉

C6 Z06 is the bargain of the century.
Bah, who cares about anything other then sports cars? 😉840quadra said:The reason is (and GM says this Flat out) due to the fact that the loyal buyers of these cars don't want to change the "legend".
I would love to have seen this car with some more Technology put into it. Surely GM could have STILL made it as low priced.
I give them props for listening to their buyers, but my issue with GM is more mainstream. The sucsess LSx DOES NOT excuse the 3400, 3800, and other dated engines. Yes they put out good power for what they are, but they also have OLD problems that GM has YET to get fixed correctly.
