Of course he has the right to take the day off from working on it(which I dont think he did), he just doesn't need to put up a third teaser with no clarification on twitter if its not actually imminent.

He could say hes been overwhelmed by it and is going to take a week off and then get back to it and I wouldn't complain at all, its his project. Its the perpetual state of "any day now" thats a little annoying since it would take so little effort to squash it.

He can't give us an exact day or time because these things never go according to schedule. When you are about to release something like that, you do a last minute testing and find a bug that would take you off schedule, people would be upset again. This is why things like that don't have schedule or even approximate dates.

DAMN,
he must be playing around with the settings cause I got redirected to
/star/faq.html

And I have never typed that manually in.
Also I have reinstalled since last time I was on that page, so I couldn't have gone there by accident.

no, comex said that there was an HTTP caching issue for the site...

this has been happening to people for weeks now.

This has been happening to me all night but its been strange. Sometimes id get redirected, other times I wouldnt. Im using atomic browser. Ive also tried Safari and it does the same thing so Im not sure whats going on. Either way, Im sure the offical JB will be out shortly ( could be minutes, could be hours, but hopefully not days! Lol )

I didn't suggest it did have an exact time. But you don't think, for example, when he put up "if i can't get unionfs working by tomorrow they are cut" and "all I need is a bootstrap.." and many people were thinking it was imminent he didn't know he was still well over a week away? When he is probably releasing faster now than he otherwise would have due to the leak?

Big difference between knowing it will come out in 22 days 6 hours 5 minurtes and knowing that he isn't finalizing everything to put it up the next day.

That said I'm not trying to make it out like it's some huge deal as is, I was only saying if he's still a week+ off right now that letting people think it's updating within a day as is not unreasonable to think would be going too far with the teases.

Come on, he's going to release it as soon as it is finished. By putting the post-it on the homepage, the signs couldn't get any clearer.

On the other hand: if he finds another issue just before releasing, all of us should be happy he isn't releasing something that might break some functionality on our iPads ...

Jesus it was just a hypothetical that other people initially brought up, I absolutely think it's coming very very soon. It's why I logged on here at 5 am.

The first word in this thread is anticipation not Comex sucks.

IMO, we are all totally crazy ;)

And what would we do without comex et al. ...???

AFAIK he got UnionFS working.

So this is THE jailbreak to use on ALL devices,
but if I would like to re-jailbreak my g/f's phone
I could just run it over the 4.3.3 jailbreak she has
right? And she would get UnionFS?

Or would a restore be required? Seing as this is
a major change in how the jailbreak works
(behind the scene)

My best guess is that she would need to restore the device back to factory settings (a clean start) and then re-apply the Jailbreak. This would definitely be your best bet.

Obvsly make sure that you backup all of your content on the iDevice before restoring. You dont want to loose all of your information.

Yes, this will Jailbreak your device, but it's based off of the Beta Jailbreak for 4.3.0 - which does contain some issues.

This is definitely not a solution for most people - but for those that are interested, sure go ahead and test it out. A few people are reporting errors in getting Cydia to install properly.

I actually used the Beta Jailbreak the day it was leaked - and I can report minimal issues on my end. Although, I've read reports of some of the other types of errors that others are having but I am not... so... It's a very buggy Beta - but it does work. Just be cautious with what your doing... :)

But at this point with the new Post on Jailbreakme.com its pretty much worth the wait for anyone interested.

Very true. This is for the experimental type only and should be used with caution. The Full Comex release is coming out Soon anyway.

oh boy, i can't wait for the server overload of Cydia repos once this jailbreak is released...

Yea really eh! It's definitely going to take a beating.

The only errors I have encountered with the Beta Jailbreak are minimal, for me atleast.

1. The Camera Connection Kit (SD, USB Adapter) are no longer recognized. Not even with iFile. (Bummer) - This is one of the MAIN reasons I wanted to Jailbreak. Expandable memory - iFile with OPlayerHD - ROCK ON!

2. SBSettings - The WiFi Toggle doesn't work. Nor does AirPlane mode.

3. Some Apps no longer retain user credentials - LOGMEIN doesn't.

4. ORBLive no longer works, as it crashes upon Login.

5. Air Video - persistant pausing after 2-3 minutes. I have done some research into this and apparently this is NOT due to Jailbreaking as it is happening to many users, over the course of a few weeks. Some are speculating it's the Beta Server on the host machine. Either way, I thought it'd be nice to mention.

Some folks are having issues with Safari - this I am not having any issues with... :) Thats a bonus. But then again, I don't normally use Safari, I use Atomic Browser. Gotta love Tab'd browsing.

Can we all say "consumed" Jesus I have not been so anxious or consumed by one thing like this since I was a kid. My fiancé was just laughing at me so hard because she tricked me yelling "hunny that web site is different" while I was upstairs, I about broke my keck getting down the stairs only to see the same page and her snickering at me.

hah, this is what it should have said...
