Can we all say "consumed" Jesus I have not been so anxious or consumed by one thing like this since I was a kid. My fiancé was just laughing at me so hard because she tricked me yelling "hunny that web site is different" while I was upstairs, I about broke my keck getting down the stairs only to see the same page and her snickering at me.

Bahaha, this made me laugh because Im in the same boat. It's so sad. lol

Just for the sake of causing someone a heart Attack... but wouldnt you ***** your pants if Apple STOPPED signing 4.3.3 and released 4.3.4 which fixes this exploit.

Not gonna lie - but my head would be short a few hairs.

I think I'd just not update:cool:

Well comex is up, time for refresh insanity again.

oh boy, i can't wait for the server overload of Cydia repos once this jailbreak is released...

It did fine when the iPhone 4 was jailbroken and the iPad market is a fraction of the size of the iPhone market. I don't for see the servers having any trouble.

Save your blobs and don't cry

This is a post I did the other day - and Im still confused as *H*E*L*L*

Ok I just re-read all of the replies.

BASICALLY, Since I am on 4.3.0 - There is no way at this present moment for me to BACK up my SHSH Blob as Apple is done signing it - right? So... The only option I have is.. if I want to retain a 4.3.3 SHSH BLOB is to Restore (update) my iPad to that firmware, then run TinyUmbrella again and do it that way...? Correct?

Your blobs are saved you are fine, you just can't restore

And the answer is in that thread, you have to uncheck save shsh on Cydia like the warning says

Oh yes, I did that... :) Ok so... then Im still confused lol If my BLOBS are saved, but I cannot restore... what is the point of me saving the BLOBS?

If you could either post me a link so I can read up on BLOBS/SHSH in general that would be wonderful, or if you could just give me a paragraph or two in your own words (dumb it down for me, would ya! :) ) what they are, I would be very appreciative.

Ok here is a guide with my bad english.

What are blobs for?

When Apple release a new FW for a product, they stop signing old fw, which means that you cannot downgrade via the apple way.

How do i save my blobs

First download Tinyumbrella and install it.
Second plug your IOS device in the USB with the Apple Cable
Third Click on your device in Tinyumbrella then click Advance tab
4th Make sure Request SHSH from Cydia is uncheck then click Apply Changes
5th Go back the the main page then click Save SHSH You should see in the middle box your machine with the version like this as an exemple

Then your SHSH is saved

Now how to restore.

First make sure that if you go in System Preferences then sharing that Web Sharing is deactivated this will give you error Kill HTTPD on Tinyumbrella opening.

Then click Start TSS server in TinyUmbrella
Then open terminal and ping gs.apple.com it should respond by 127.0.0.1
Then Go and download the original FW for your device exemple Ipad2 4.3.3
Open itunes with your Ios machine pluged in and instead of clicking restore
Hold Alt(Option) then click restore and then manually go select the original firmware you just dowloaded.

When it<s done. Let the work do the rest, then restore the backup from Itunes to get your apps back

Thats about it

Just stay on 4.3.0, and run TU. It will save the blob for 4.3.3.

This is because TU sends your device's UDID (unique device ID) to Apple, and Apple sends back the SHSH. No need to actually have 4.3.3 on your iPad.

Think about it. The SHSH is needed to install the firmware, therefore you have to get it *before* the firmware is installed. iTunes asks for SHSH and installs the firmware in one step, while TU just does the ask for SHSH part.

You can still save blobs for 4.3.0?
I have 4.3.1 on my iPad 2 and when I try to save blobs it says that "I'm just too late"

Great advice. I wasn't aware you could do the backup without being on the particular version.

Just backed up my SHSH blobs. I'm on 4.3 still, and I now have 4.3.3 and 5.0b1 SHSH's saved for my iPad.

Thanks.

Thats just a web glitch, its done that for the previous teasers too. I see the post it on mine.

Don't worry about it when its up it will work, or at worst you can clear your browsing data and reload the page. And yes all you do is go to the site on your ipad and follow the very simple instructions, it will probably be the same slide to jailbreak thing the old version was and all automatic from there. Its easy and doesn't take long.

But its not up yet.

Someone in one of these threads posted a picture of it, it functions like the app store way of downloading.
Like you tap free, then probably install and it downloads.
