Your cheapest option given the current plans available is 3 lines on a More Everything Plan sharing 10GB of data and all 3 phones on Edge to get the $25/mo/line discount. My plan was to go with unlimited talk, text, and 10 gigs shared. that would total $200 between all three.
Verizon is offering a $150/line port-in bill credit, which for your 3 lines would amount to $450. I am not clear if that only applies if you buy the phones directly through Verizon or if you can buy anywhere. Call Verizon to check and see. Don't go into a corporate store or a VAR/kiosk and ask them as they are commission sales people and they will lie to get your business. Call 1-800-922-0204 and ask the customer care people. You may get transferred to telesales, so be careful if you do b/c they are commission sales people, too. Also I'll go to the Verizon store and mall kiosk and ask who's giving the best rebates/discounts on he phones.

Costco is offering a $150 Costo cash card for each new Verizon line. I don't know if that is in addition to the $150 port-in credit offered through Verizon. You would need to call the Costco wireless provider to ask. IIRC the Costco wireless provider offers Edge phones, too and they qualify for the $150 Costco cash cards but again, call and ask to make sure I am correct.
Also, you don't have to be a Costco member to go through the Costco wireless provider and IIRC you do not need to be a Costco member to use a Costco cash card at Costco. Double check by calling Costco to make sure, but I believe anyone with a Costco cash card can show the card and get into the warehouse and use it.

The only situation in which Edge makes financial sense is exactly the situation you would be in - a More Everything plan with 10GB or more of data. This is due to the $25/mo/line discount if you go with Edge.As far as Edge goes, it doesn't seem advantageous?
