My biggest concern was the keyboard and battery life, but after reading enough reviews the good far outweigh the bad. Everyone here has been extremely helpful. Looking forward to years of Mac and loss of windows.
Do you find the touchbar useful? I don't use the function keys all that often and the touch lock is enough to sell me. I'm sure it will carry a lot of use. The girl at Best Buy did so much with it.
I have a 2010 macbook so do not have touchbar.
I do not have USB C either so no dongles for me
I cannot afford a new macbook, although if I could I dont think I'd get a later 2016 model due to cost primarily.
I started with an old G4 power pc macbook and quickly moved up.
for my use the 2009/2010 A1342 is awesome and very cheap.
plus runs sierra without slowing down the machine too much.
I like the older models as user upgradable too.
dual HDD in mine and can up ram to 16GB if I wish.
