Looks like my Wisconsin pick will be pulling through. Still biting the nails a bit on Nevada, but at least there's some breathing room.

* Does little victory dance :D *

Rats...I liked Creighton's chances when Fazekas went out, but they couldn't pull it off. That was my only miss in the first round for the South region.

I'm 18-4 so far, so I'm pleased. None of my 2nd round picks have lost so far. But Oregon is getting a battle from Miami (OH).

Whew. Wisconsin just about gave me a heart attack there - I put them in my final four (yes, it's a stupid homer pick).

I had Creighton over Nevada, but otherwise everything looks good. I picked Illinois to upset VA Tech later, so I'm hoping that works out.

What a game of runs that one is. Oregon had a 20-0 run, but still only leads by three.
Didn't catch any of the Oregon-Miami (OH) game or highlights. Apparently, they weren't too convincing with a 2 point win. I have them over Wisconsin, but they may not get passed Winthrop. If I can stop the hemorrhaging in my Midwest and West brackets after the first round, things should get better.....I think. Go Illini.

Why did I pick a Pac-10 at large over a Big Ten at large when they were #8 and #9 seeds? What was I thinking? Lousy Aridzona.

Yay for VT.

Right now I'm looking at 26-6 after round one. Despite my disappointment in Illinois' loss, that's not too bad.

Everyone with 25+ is in pretty good shape. Since none of my picks for the next 16 games has been eliminated, there's still a shot of hope at 23-9, but it's a long shot. The Illinois loss stung, but it's one of those from Illinois things.
