Awesome news - I interpret it as its approved and floating through the App Store tubes somewhere. To quote Davilla himself:
MrMC for tvos Released
BUT wait"The status for the following app has changed to Processing for App Store. It can take up to 24 hours before your app is available on the App Store. This delay is dependent on any app availability issues." HAHAHA, more waiting.![]()
It's on US App Store. $5.99Awesome news - I interpret it as its approved and floating through the App Store tubes somewhere.
On Canada too $6.99 but having issues with 2 factor authentication purchasing. It's on US App Store. $5.99
No plugins or addons because it had to be stripped down to make it app store compliant. I don't think this is a big deal since it is running on AppleTV as one of many apps therefore a traditional addon in many cases may be replaced by a real tvos app.No plugins/add ons correct?
is this better than plex?
It is only less than a week behind infuse release.
This is fork of Kodi so it can't use the name, but we will see an official Kodi soon now for sure.
But it won't take long before people realize what this MrMC app is.
Where did you read that? Not according to developers of Kodi.
They say it never gona happen.
Well i obviously am not inventing the wheel the second time. Thats why i don't do any predictions. As soon as there is mrmc tvos code on github i will start working on it (which means always when i have time for it). The only prediction i have is "not this year" - i can ensure that because of my personal schedule for december.![]()
Anyone who is working on kodi for tvos now would waste his time (the goal is to have mrmc and kodi in sync as much as possible...).
So i continue to post here from time to time and that does not mean i am to lazy to do some real work if you mean that...
Where did you read that?
This is from a Kodi dev:
This is a great app thanks. It is a little overwhelming for us newcomers though - is there an idiot-proof users guide out there?
I would be interested to know if it can play certain video files that neither Infuse nor Nastify can handle, specifically:
MTS videos (this is the format my camcorder shoots in)
TS videos
MPEG2 codec videos
high bitrate videos the likes iPhones shoot in 60p or slow motion 240p
interlaced videos (e.g. DVD rips most of which are 60i)
VIDEO_TS folders
It has played every format I have thrown at it and buttery smooth. Very nice work![]()
Can someone with this app confirm if it supports deleting files? Does it remember the position of last playback? Does the live tv functionality support one .m3u file containing all channels and seamlessly let you change channels like in Kodi?
