aMsn is an alternative to adium which has more of the features of the Windows version of Windows Live Messenger, but I've found it to be so slow it's hardly worth bothering with.

Bloody hell, I see what you mean. Scrolling the contact list is awful and its just as bad as resizing the windows.

If 6.03 is getting shipped with Office 2008, its badly needing updated for Leopard, as these are some of the issues I've been encountering. The most annoying one is when it crashes for no reason. These issues never happened under Tiger for me.

Has anyone had issues with it on Leopard? while windows are open, there's a "boop" kind of sound like trying to type while the text box is not selected. It sometimes makes this sound on its own... like once every minute until your conversation is closed. Sometimes while trying to type, it doesn't register keystrokes. As if it'll only allow you to type 3 characters then thats it and have to open a new window again with whoever you're talking to. As well as endless crashes from time to time.... for no apparent reason.

Same here  I'm still waiting for Messenger for Mac v.7. I don't like the other ones as I'd rather loose voice/webcam and keep the personal message things etc.

Does anyone know if Messenger:Mav v.7 will include these also...
- Webcam (yes we know that one),
- Voice (and that one),
- Short voice clips (on windows recorded by f2 button I think),
- Emoticons being displayed in the user list in peoples ID's rather than (f) etc
- Display pictures loading immediately, a majority of the people I talk to just shows green msn men in their display picture (avatar). It never loads.
- Nudge
- Offline messaging
- Sign in as 'appear offline'
..and the rest that's available to windows users (can't think off top of me head).
