I'm sympathetic to the OP.

I'm not so bothered about the rings, but the new Calendar app is incredibly ugly compared with the old ones. They've messed around with the colours and the result is very unappealing.

But there are people starving in Africa, so no doubt I should shut up.

One of the less color-matched combos -- turquoise, orange, and rainbow wheel.

The alternative to the multicolored Activity wheel is on the bottom complication, but this would mean sacrificing any other info that you'd want to put there instead.

I agree this should be a choice. That said- I use utility and love the splash of color.

I don't have a problem with the look my self. However I agree that in Apples most personal device they should not take away options, adding options is great, taking them away is wrong.
