Oh, gotcha. I thought you were implying that WebOS had actually ripped off Safari....as in the desktop version of it.

Well WebOS does look an awful lot like Safari tabs! Never really thought of it that way

This app has a long way to go, and it is way overpriced for the functionality it does/will provide. The fact that it will never have a live image of the applications scrolling by is a deal breaker for me. Double-tap is also not a good pick for initializing.

Back to the drawing board, and don't be so greedy!

Wow. That was harsh. Anyway..

Can anyone else using this confirm the following for me. When I have multifl0w enabled and enable 3g Restrictor, my mail app will not open. It keeps crashing - not crashing the SB but the app crashes and will not open. Obviously i have other mobilesubstrate addons enabled but this is the clear trigger.

thanks

Good, but not great. It still needs to able to kill apps within Multifl0w (a red x would be perfect), enable by holding the home button and the ability to favorite apps. All of which I can do in Kirikae for free.

Yeah, it definitely needs a way to close apps and different methods of accessing it. The developer has said that he will be adding new stuff (probably those things first) and fixing the bugs.

What I don't like about Kirikae is that it shows the stock apps even if they're not open. I always have to scroll through the list even if I'm only backgrounding two or three apps. Kinda lame.

Free is always nice, but I'll gladly support a dev like this guy whose apps make my iPhone better.

The stock apps are open and running in the background. That's why you can receive a phone call, listen to the iPod while doing other things, or return to the browser without having to load your page(s) each time.

3GS uses home button for voice...how does this play nice with or interfere?

With Kirikae, if you hold down the home button K appears after a second or two and then goes away when Voice Control appears. I'd like MF to do something similar to the Pre and use two fingers swiping up to activate it. I hate using ugly software so stylistically I hope it comes closer to matching Safari tabs in appearance.

How cool! Looks like *cough*webOS*hack*

WebOS have very TINY apps. They are actually considered applets, not really apps.

As contrast, on Android, the most popular app is one where you figure out what background process to kill.

Been used in MutiFl0w for a couple of days now. It definitely is buggy and has caused Springboard to crash several times so far. It does have potential but before I buy it, I would like to see an stability update and see that the dev has plans to support the app.

Yes, I'm well aware of that. I still don't need to see them in a list of apps currently backgrounded unless I'm actively using them.

Kirikae is a task manager, not just an app-switcher. You never know when you might need or want to kill one of those apps (I use Kirikae to kill Safari all the time, since it refuses to close on exit and sometimes uses upward of 60 MB of RAM).

I see then need, and here is an example. Sometimes I'm copying detailed info from Safari and maps to a contact I'm creating. Not seeing Safari and Phone would eliminate any usefulness Kirikae and background give me. Not to mention the process killing examples theLatinist just gave.

I think a better solution would be to separate out Apple apps and put them at the bottom of the list, or just reverse the order Kirikae displays apps by listing the newly backgrounded apps at the top and the first, which are the Apple apps, at the bottom.

Well that does make sense! Hopefully developers will implement stuff like this.

Do you mean 3G Unrestrictor? If so, I have both it and Multifl0w installed and my Mail app works fine.

Yes. And its not multifl0w. Its just 3G Unrestr. I did some more tests and Multifl0w is not the problem. I hate to say this but it all started when i installed rockapp to d/l multifl0w. Since then i have also upgraded by 3G unrest. I do not use the app enough where turning it on when i want to watch sling is a problem but i hate to have this problem. May cause me to rejailbreak to see if i can fix prob. I think there is a multifl0w update coming today so well see what that brings.

FWIW, I also have RockApp installed.
