Our family has one iPad that we share amongst us. Is it possible to have the iPad signed in to one iCloud account, but then have Photos, Messages, Mail, etc. signed in to another iCloud user? In other words, can I pick and choose which iCloud service is being used by which iCloud account?

Bummer

If I change the iCloud account, does that change the apps that are on or available on the device? Or are the apps somehow linked to the iCloud account?

Apps are linked to the iCloud account used to install them.

The apps will remain usable even if you sign in with a different iCloud account. Only problem is you'll have to sign in with the original account to update apps.
