I have an MPB that I bought in 2020. For the last 2 months I've had the following issues:
1. When I start up I sometimes get this volume hash mismatch error. It recommends reinstalling OSX. When I try to reinstall it gets most of the way through then I get hit with an error.
2. Randomly the computer freezes and there's a loud woosh from the fan and it shuts down (maybe every other day. usually when on google chrome).
3. Tabs in chrome crash
4. chrome itself crashes
5. I use On1 photo RAW for photos and that sometimes is really sluggish (but other times is fine)

I tried flushing the PRAM. I'm on 12.5. When the computer crashes I send the warning report to apple.

I have AppleCare+ I've never used it for this type of issue (I've had a hard drive die on a prior mac and I brought it into the store).

Could all these symptoms be related? Also, I can't really give up Chrome and use safari since I use PCs at work and a Samsung phone so it keeps my ssurfing and history together. If I call AppleCare can they see all my submitted crash reports to help me? What's the best next step.

When I tried to reinstall I get an error towards the end of the reinstall. I've tried a few times. It just said there's an error and no input as to what error it was.

This is enough reason to ask for AppleCare help. Not being able to reinstall OS is a major failure. (Doing “Hardware Test” would help to narrow the cause, but the symptom is important and completely justifies AppleCare+ use).
