I would recommend the Apple Remote app for iPhone. Pretty useful to use with your Mac.

Dragon Search and Dragon Dictation. Although I heard the Bing Search app is great, I need to check it out and see if I like it better than Dragon Search.

I will back that as I believe Shazam is a definite must have.

I cannot count the times where I've heard a song that I did not know and Shazam pulled through for me. A lot of the bands I listen to now were because of Shazam =)
