Thanks for the size comparison! I’m coming from a 7 so it looks like increase in physical size isn’t huge, but the increase in screen size is a big jump. My 12 should also get delivered sometime today.
I pre-ordered a Loopy case, but it isn’t gonna ship til November 7th. I have a clear case coming from Amazon in a couple days.
I definitely will get a screen protector, but can’t believe I forgot to order one. I’m gonna see if I have something here for another phone that’ll work half-a** til I can find one.

I canceled my 12 order and just went with the Pro because I knew I would be all wishy-washy and end up returning it to get the Pro eventually. I’m not much of a photog but I’m really going to try to make use of the Pro camera features as much as I can.

lol pretty sure not. I did struggle with the 12 vs 12 pro, but only in the 6.1, and the 12 won out because of the weight. I’m pretty pleased with the weight - doesn’t seem noticeably different than the SE. The keyboard is considerably larger on zoom, and that should help with my typing issues (I hope).
Going smaller was out for me, even though I‘m sure I’ll drool over that mini, and I‘ve not wanted max phones the last 2 years, so I can’t imagine wanting to go that big.
I have to say I really liked having touch ID again, and I think I’ll miss that, and the overall size, but I do like having more screen real estate again, and the phone definitely doesn’t feel as heavy and bulky as my 11.
Looks pretty black to me. Obviously the back isn’t a matte finish, so it has a bit of shine to it, but it definitely appears black.

I almost always go with white/silver. I‘m pleased with the black - it’s gonna look great with my midnight leopard Loopy case - can’t wait for that to arrive, although it’ll be a couple weeks. 😩
I toyed with the pro because after bumping my storage, I really just wasn’t that far off price-wise (I really dislike paying this much for a phone). The weight won in the end. I knew I’d wind up unhappy with something that was gonna feel heavy in my hand. The weight of the 12 really doesn’t feel much different than the SE2.
I’d love to do more with the camera, but realistically, I’m gonna do the same thing I’ve done for years - pics of the grandkids and occasionally pics when traveling. For that, this will be just fine.
The weight distribution should be the best on the 12 due to the larger volume. The mini’s weight distribution is similar to the 8/SE2.
Does anyone know, when transferring data/photos from iphone to the new 12, does it make difference transferring from back up OR setting up as new??
Coming from an SE too. Got my 12 pro this morning and been high throttle on it. Honestly don’t know if I like the size of the 12 pro. Hard to use one handed.
I’m coming from an SE 2 as well. I got a Graphite Pro. It is definitely heavier than the SE but manageable. this time I was prepared for two handed use. I’m loving the screen and the stainless steel flat edges.
Yea either I’m going to have to get used to 2 handed use or wait for the mini
