I'm going to have to buy the new iphone 14 pro max when it comes out I was going to do it anyway by trading this one in but it fell and had gotten damaged but everything works on it but is has one lens that has a crack in it My question is when I place an order with apple is there a way to trade this in with them

When you do the trade-in you will be asked some questions about the condition of your trade-in. The value of you trade-in will be reduced based on how much damage there is on the phone you are trading in.

Edit: Yes you actually do lose a lot of value of the trade in.

Trade in value will be affected.

Apple will accept all phone trades but the values can vary significantly e.g., for a 12 Pro Max (they don't show 13 trade values yet), the Apple value is $600, $225 or $0 depending on answers to condition questions. Regardless of how you answer at checkout, they will do an inspection upon receipt and may adjust the value down if they find condition issues. If so, you can then choose to accept or reject Apple's revised trade-in offer.

You may also want to check directly with your carrier and see if they have any trade-in deals that would work for you. You could also try reseller sites like Gazelle, Decluttr, etc. or selling it yourself privately on sites like eBay, Swappa, etc.

I just wanted to know if they'll accept it All works I dropped it out of a baby carriage and it fell into the street and I couldn't find it right away and when I did it got run over by a car on the lenses anyway I had planned to get the 14 no matter what I buy only unlocked 256GB iphones so no carrier

I just wanted to know how they ask for the condition of the phones for the trade in because all of mine were always excellent this is the first I've ever had an accident with

My guess is someone upstairs didn't want me to get full value LOL

So they will make adjustments at the store when picking up either for more or less of what I say

Thanks

I might not order right away when it's released so I could bring it in and have them evaluate it it's best to be honest upfront
